Backstory

Excerpted from "A Brief History of Falkreath" by Senicus Clutecus - Chapter 8 - Mirele Bismath Tower

"The Wizard's Tower, which stands on the White River, was originally built as a watchtower during the Empire's many invasions of Skyrim. The tower was used by the Empire's occupiers to collect tolls from travelers on the road to Riverwood, and also served as a barracks and makeshift dungeon. But after a rebellion in Falkreath in the north of the area, the tower was looted, abandoned by the angry locals, and fell into ruins.

After some time, the tower slowly began to collapse, until a wizard named Holmes Mirel wandered the ruins and decided to make it his home. This Dunmer mage made numerous improvements and added wooden structures to form towers and additional rooms as can be seen today. Mirel kept a high level of secrecy and lived in seclusion for many years, perfecting his art of teleportation. The lone mage is also said to have amassed a vast collection of ancient and arcane texts during his solitary years.

Despite Mirel's best intentions, his solitary nature did nothing to allay the suspicion of the local Norsemen, who became increasingly distrustful of the foreign mage living among them. Feeling anti-elven sentiment growing and distrust of magic spreading across Skyrim, the talented mage decided it was time to leave and return to his homeworld.

After years of doing nothing, Jal Sidgir agreed that the house was long overdue for a new owner. Whoever calls this mysterious tower home will have to earn the trust of the local superstitious populace, as rumors remain abundant that the tower itself has the power to teleport people or objects far across the sky. But of course, these are just simple Nordic complaints and should not be taken seriously..."

-MOD description-

Mirele Bismath is a two-bedroom gamer's home for the mid-game and beyond. The original home was produced by SoftRodvt. I gave the home a complete visual redesign while retaining all the original benefits and features (with permission from SoftRodvt of course).

Features:

An automatic classification system to sort your waste!

Each cooking and crafting station so you can have a centralized crafting center!

A friendly and fun fast travel option for mages to play without fast travel (i.e. CC survival mode)

Display items in a variety of formats, including (but not limited to)

Bookshelves, unique item shelves, dragon priest busts, mannequins and more.

Fully compatible with Hearthfire multiple adoptions, allowing you to move your family in!

Fully compatible with tax collection modes such as Simple Tax!

Completely navmeshed and cleaned to ensure compatibility and polish when bringing family and followers in!

Eye-catching lighting designed to look great even with vanilla lighting! (Best paired with ELFX!)

Other changes in the reborn version:

Massive redesign from inside and out!

New bedrooms, craft area and generally more spacious (while still maintaining the cozy feel of the original!)

New herb garden, additional follower's bedroom, balcony, bathroom and reading room.

The basement has been redesigned into an arcane vault, which contains a large amount of arcane knowledge.

I hope you find this home comfortable and convenient! Huge thanks to the original author of the mods, Soft Productions for bringing my favorite player home and allowing me to edit it!

-compatibility-

Should be compatible with most mods, obviously anything that edits the same cell won't be compatible. The Ministry of Defense made a small change to the guard stone's cell (moving a tree to the side so that the tower in the distance can be seen next to the standing stone). This shouldn't cause a problem, as an example, Ryn's standing stone mod works perfectly with this home. …

Install & use Install: follow the bundled instructions

  1. Unzip the archive from playbuff and read the bundled readme / instructions first.
  2. There is no universal mod manager for this game: some mods replace game files directly, some go into a game-specific Mods folder, and some need a game-specific community loader or tool first — follow the bundled readme.
  3. Place the files exactly as the readme says; mods with listed dependencies need those installed too.
  4. Launch the game to confirm it loaded; some games require enabling mods in settings or an in-game mod menu.

Install locations vary a lot between games and mods — the bundled readme is the most reliable guide.
