About this mod Machine translation
The mod adds a number of new NPCs that roam organically throughout Skyrim using custom AI packages in an attempt to make travel more dangerous and the roads less empty.
I've been developing the mod non-stop for almost two years and I finally thought it was worth uploading. It adds a lot of NPCs that allow for organic exploration of the world (using a tweaked sandbox multi-location AI package, rather than scripting), but not so much that the whole world seems confusing. Designed to be compatible with most other mods. Included are other mods that add more NPCs as well as mods like Immersive Armor and Weapons, as many NPC gear use Skyrim's base Leveled list. May not be fully compatible with mods that add new content where I place NPCs and sandbox/travel markers, such as most city overhaul mods. Only time (hopefully you) will tell.
Here is a list of all the NPCs I added and their roles (in no particular order).
Fugitive: Wander around the world trying to avoid other NPCs.
Outlaw: usually hiding from the law in bandit camps.
Bandit Raiders: 3 different bandit groups ranging from 5 to 15 members who travel around the world and attack other bandit camps. They don't currently raid villages/cities intentionally, but will travel through them from time to time, which is why I recommend blattgeist's "NPCs Protected Redux" mod.
Black-Briar Mercenary: Patrols the Riften to better give the impression that Maven has a Riften under her Thumb.
Bounty Hunter: Essentially, city guards are equipped with leveled armor suits that allow them to explore the world and kill bandits, and if you have a bounty in your respective city, they will try to arrest/attack you even if you are not in that city.
Companion: Armored members can travel around the world signing contracts and hanging out in taverns.
Thieves Guild Members: Steal things from various cities and run away if caught.
Daedra Worshipers: Radical Daedra worshipers who will attempt to kill you and other NPCs in the name of their daedric god.
Dawnguard Sentinals: Protect unwalled dwellings at night from raiding vampires and hounds.
Vampires and Bloodhounds: Raid an unwalled settlement that is protected at night by Dawnguard sentries.
Forsworn Scouts and Raid Teams: Individual Forsaken members operating within the Order of the Watch, as well as two raiding parties that occasionally raid Markarth, Karthwasten, and Dragon Bridge to reach areas claimed by the Watch to be infested by the Forsworn.
Silver Mercenary: This further expresses the Silver's control over the river, as well as protecting Markarth and Karthwasten (if you don't support Ainethach against them).
Arrival: If you team up with the Ainethach, you can protect Karthwasten from the Forsworn natives instead of the Silver-Bloods.
Caravan: A caravan of warriors that traveled between Rorikstead, Karthwasten, Markarth and Dragon Bridge.
Imperial and Stormcloak War Parties: They will be spotted traveling through enemy camps and attack them.
Imperial, Stormcloak and Aldmeri Scouts: A total of around 60 scouts will scout across Skyrim and serve as a constant reminder that Skyrim is caught in a deadly conflict
Spies of the Empire, Stormcloaks, and Telmor: Known only as "Agents" in the game, you'll be able to tell which faction they belong to based on their clothes and gear. They will travel and spy between different cities and will only be recognized by spies from other factions. Aldmeri scouts will also identify Stormcloak spies.
Thalmor Inquisitors: The more powerful Thalmor Justiciars travel between the cities of Skyrim, ensuring that humans follow their doctrine.
Skooma Dealer and 3 Bodyguards: Will hang out on the outskirts of Whiterun, next to Windhelm Pier and Riften Pier, occasionally traveling between the two. You can buy it from them.
Courier: Book it to cities, towns, castles and more, to and from 24/7, with the goal of making the player's feats instantly known throughout the skyline. They also come with notes of varying values that …
Install & use Install: follow the bundled instructions
- Unzip the archive from playbuff and read the bundled readme / instructions first.
- There is no universal mod manager for this game: some mods replace game files directly, some go into a game-specific Mods folder, and some need a game-specific community loader or tool first — follow the bundled readme.
- Place the files exactly as the readme says; mods with listed dependencies need those installed too.
- Launch the game to confirm it loaded; some games require enabling mods in settings or an in-game mod menu.
Install locations vary a lot between games and mods — the bundled readme is the most reliable guide.
