About this mod Machine translation
A truly straightforward and authentic reboot of Breezehome at Whiterun. It only uses existing assets from the game.
This is my first mod, still in beta. Basically, I wanted to do a very straightforward and authentic Breezehome reboot in Whiterun. It only uses existing assets from the game and makes no changes to the outside of the home, so if there are any compatibility issues it should be minimal
What I changed:
- Moved all building materials to higher quality (i.e. painted walls instead of peeling blue paint)
- Added extra armor/weapon racks - now have 7 slots on the standing rack, 3 weapon plaques and 2 shield/weapon plaques (no mannequins - I find them creepy)
- The loft area now houses two large plate glass display cases and some of the growing alchemy ingredients
- Additional bookshelves---Now there are 2 bookshelves holding 18 books each and 4 bookshelves holding 11 books each
- Everyone upgraded to the Noble Bed version (ok, this was actually an accident - I changed the underlying asset, but personally, I like it :-)
- Master bedroom with magician and alchemy table
- The fire pit now has some baked goods on the baking sheet that you can activate to make oven baked goods
- In general, upgrade the quality of furniture and carpets.
How to use:
- In Fresh Game, purchase of Breezehome - will include all decorations
- In existing games, this will update Breezehome to my version
Known issues:
- If you are installing in an existing game, if you move or remove a piece of clutter or make any console edits in vanilla Breezehome, it will move even after the mod is installed, which may cause item collisions or other minor awkwardness. Working on it!
- I know there are some weird artifacts in the kid's bedroom right now (bed turned over). Working on it!
- Adopted children and spouses cannot move to the home (you can select Breezehome in the dialogue, but they don't know how to move there). One solution is to use mods to move them (just like with other modded Player Homes). Another (in a new game) is to buy the home and child room extensions, then enable the mod, adopt the children, then activate the mod (they will live happily in the home, but you won't be able to move them back there if you move them somewhere else). Sorry, don't know how to solve this problem
Again, this is my first attempt at modding, so please proceed at your own risk. This is the "Beta" version. If you know something about adoption issues, please let us know!

This is my very first mod and still in Beta. Basically, I wanted a really straight-forward and true-to-original reboot of Breezehome in Whiterun. It uses exclusively existing assets in the game and doesn't make any changes to the exterior of the home, so it should have few if any compatibility issues
What I have changed:
- Shifted all building material to higher quality (i.e., whitewashed walls instead of the flaking blue paint)
- Added additional armor/weapon racks --- now have 7 slots at standing racks, 3 weapon plaques, and 2 shield/weapon plaques (no mannequins -- I find them to be creepy)
- The loft area now has two large flat glass display cases and some growing alchemy ingredients
- Additional book shelves --- now have 2 shelves which hold 18 books each and 4 shelves which hold 11 book each
- Everybody gets bed upgrades to the Noble Bed version (okay, this was actually an accident -- I changed the underlying asset, but personally, I like it:-)
- The master bedroom has an enchanter and an alchemy table
- The fire pit now has some baked goods on a baking tray, which you can activate to be able to craft oven baked goods
- Generally, upgraded the quality of the furniture and rugs.
How to use this:
- On a fresh game, purchase Breezehome -- all decorations will be included
- On an existing game, this will update Breezehome to my version

Install & use Install: follow the bundled instructions
- Unzip the archive from playbuff and read the bundled readme / instructions first.
- There is no universal mod manager for this game: some mods replace game files directly, some go into a game-specific Mods folder, and some need a game-specific community loader or tool first — follow the bundled readme.
- Place the files exactly as the readme says; mods with listed dependencies need those installed too.
- Launch the game to confirm it loaded; some games require enabling mods in settings or an in-game mod menu.
Install locations vary a lot between games and mods — the bundled readme is the most reliable guide.
