First mentioned in the Pocket Guide to the Empire, basilisks are fearsome flying chimeras resembling giant venomous snakes with feathered heads and wings and tails like scorpions. This was created by powerful alchemists (usually in Valenwood), but this dangerous practice has spread rapidly among the tuna.
The whole process is shrouded in gloom, but it is known that they are born when male snakes magically lay eggs by mating with other male snakes. The egg must be incubated by a rooster for forty-four days, and once hatched, the little beast devours it, but the process is certainly more complicated. So, as you can see, the process is exactly the opposite of that used to create a chimney.
Legend tells us that the basilisk hates everything living so much that its sight turns life into solid stone, and only a brave adventurer with a mirror can deflect the deadly gaze and defeat the beast, but this is just a legend, even if it is based on fact, the venomous snakes spit out by the basilisk not only poison you, but also overshadow its victims.
They also don't shy away from direct combat, in which they rage with their wings and tail in an effort to destroy their enemies. There are many spines on the wings, which are very poisonous. The bite is also dangerous due to its sharp, venomous teeth.
But their greatest weapon is a scorpion-like tail with a particularly poisonous stinger at the end.
They are smaller and weaker than dragons, smaller and weaker than griffons, but very fast in the air and on land. As mentioned before, they are usually found in Valenwood, created by the Bosmer Alchemist, but they are also rarely encountered in Skyrim, especially in the Deadly Swamp.

Install & use Install: follow the bundled instructions
- Unzip the archive from playbuff and read the bundled readme / instructions first.
- There is no universal mod manager for this game: some mods replace game files directly, some go into a game-specific Mods folder, and some need a game-specific community loader or tool first — follow the bundled readme.
- Place the files exactly as the readme says; mods with listed dependencies need those installed too.
- Launch the game to confirm it loaded; some games require enabling mods in settings or an in-game mod menu.
Install locations vary a lot between games and mods — the bundled readme is the most reliable guide.
