Light armor set for adventurers and treasure hunters.
Legacy Version<
Treasure Hunter's Garb is a lightweight armor suit designed for adventurers, thieves, and treasure hunters.
I made this armor with the idea of making gear for an Indiana Jones type character, but in a fantasy setting. I've been thinking about a costume like this for years and after a month of work I'm excited to unleash the culmination of this idea. This was my first attempt at making an armor mashup, and the first time I'd ever done any significant remodeling work. I hope you're happy with the results.
The outfit consists of linen pants with leather reinforcements, a quilted fabric singlet and a studded leather vest. Finally there are two metal plates on the shoulders that provide substantial protection without reducing mobility. Finally, the garment comes with an optional neck scarf for warmth, extra protection and adds a touch of flair to the design.
This outfit offers the user a variety of options, starting with a default look without the scarf, and a scarf version. This variant is available in 8 different colors, so there should be something for everyone (blue is my favorite).
Armor pieces can be crafted in the forge (it does not require any forging tools). The entire collection can also be found in the small chest of Radiant Raiment, on the table at the entrance.
***The gloves and inner sleeves use vanilla textures, so their appearance will be based on the texture replacer you have installed (if you want to copy mine, I use Rustic Clothing and Frankfamily's Thieves Guild replacer, in that order)** *
As I said before, this is my first ever attempt at a mashup, and while I think it's pretty good, I still have a few issues I can't figure out so far. Thankfully, I don't think any of them are too harsh and more of a nitpick.
Single Weight: This armor is only set to a single size, so it doesn't scale with your character's weight. I mainly set it to .75 to suit my main character, hopefully it will work for you too, at least until I figure out how to make a low weight mesh.
Cut: There is some cut in the shoulder area for some poses, especially the unarmed fighting stance. I tried to minimize it as much as possible (and believe I looked worse before) but I couldn't do much without some bad twist.
Men Only: As of now this mod is only for men, all these assets are made specifically for male bodies, I have no experience converting costumes.
However! I happen to know of an experienced author who has expressed interest in converting this mod to a female version, so keep an eye out! If this happens I will update this page with any future developments.
Artsick helps clean up these .nif files and fix some minor mesh issues on the originals. All those who put up with me and my many questions when I stumbled upon how to make this mod.
str8maverick is his Duelist Longcoat mod, which is a great concept that I've always wanted to use in some way. I trimmed it down to a vest piece and then did a full restoration with high resolution assets and enlarging the UV map for more detail.
JRC001 and OperatorCactus for sheet metal shoulder pads.
Ellise bought the scarf for their Wayfarer's Coat mod.
FranklinZunge for quilted fabric undershirt from his mod Common Clothes
CD Projekt Red used to create assets for pants (Letho's Pants)
L0rd0fWar for porting witcher 2 assets to original
Iamonewhoplaysgames pants for his indie mods and I originally discovered them.

Install & use Install: follow the bundled instructions
- Unzip the archive from playbuff and read the bundled readme / instructions first.
- There is no universal mod manager for this game: some mods replace game files directly, some go into a game-specific Mods folder, and some need a game-specific community loader or tool first — follow the bundled readme.
- Place the files exactly as the readme says; mods with listed dependencies need those installed too.
- Launch the game to confirm it loaded; some games require enabling mods in settings or an in-game mod menu.
Install locations vary a lot between games and mods — the bundled readme is the most reliable guide.
