About this mod Machine translation

All weddings are moved from Riften to the lonely temple. New Quest allows you to invite up to 6 other guests of your choice. .After completing the Civil War Quest, defeating the Stormcloaks and killing Ulfric (the man who murdered her husband), Jarl Elisif can now get married.

Notes and warnings

This mod simply improves weddings and makes Elisif the new wife choice. Yes, you can still marry someone else.

Lip files don't work. My software crashed when I tried to make it so when Elisif spoke, the mouth wouldn't move. I'm trying to figure it out.

This mod significantly changes the standard wedding system. Other wedding mods may not work.

All weddings are now in solitude. If you want to get married in Riften, this mod is not for you.

Please post a screenshot of your favorite wedding moment. I've had random guests appear like miners, dadra, dogs, and even ghosts.

Complete Wedding System Overhaul - Solitude

I started this mod with a simple "Marry Elisif" option.

Then I wanted to give her some dialogue.

Then I realized that she would never marry again until her husband's murderer was brought to justice.

Then I realized that as the lonely Jarl, the temple was the only place she was supposed to get married. Goodbye Riften!

Then I realized the basic wedding system was lame. Several people show up and you don't choose who.

Then I realized I created a lot of work for myself :)

I kept at it until all these things worked (more or less)

So here you can use a mod to replace your current wedding system and invite your guests with new ones.

The standard system invites 3 random guests for you and 3 guests for your spouse. This is still the case. .

But now, you can invite 6 other people of your choice. Just talk to them and invite them over.

The instructions for marrying a qualifying NPC are basically the same as the Vanilla system, with a few changes.

  • Talk to the new NPC priest Tully in the lonely temple. He lives and works in the temple but buys food and supplies at the market in the mornings. Father Tully will tell you about Marriage in Skyrim. This lecture will kick off the Marriage Race, so don't skip it.
  • Purchase the Amulet of Mara. Father Tully sells them for $200. You can also find them near Skrim.
  • Wear the Amulet of Mara when talking to the person you are getting married to. If they're qualified and like you, they'll say "yes."
  • Invite your guests. Walk around and chat with the people you want to invite. Please remember that when inviting, only a maximum of 6 people can attend. If you invite more than 6 people, your invitees will be randomly selected from the list of people you invited. For unknown reasons, some of the people you invited won't show up. You always have the option to reload and try again, or invite others.
  • Return to Father Tully and tell him you are ready. He will begin preparations for the wedding and notify you when it is complete.
  • The next day...any time during the day...return to the temple. As you approach the front of the room, the wedding ceremony will begin. From this point on, things are pretty much the same as vanilla.
  • If you were to marry Elisif, she is a unique example. Due to her Jarl responsibilities, she cannot live with you. She will return to her palace to meet you there. Before you can sleep in her bed, you have to talk to her in her room about pre-bed snuggles. I'm keeping this PG, but you know what it's really about.
  • Talk to Elisif on different days. She might have something new to say.

Now you can marry Elisif the Fair

Let's face it, her husband was murdered and her country was torn apart by civil war. She was not doing well.

To marry Elisif, you need to complete 3 tasks.

  • Deliver her murdered husband’s horn to the Shrine of Talos (Quest SolitudeFreeform07 Stage 200)
  • Become a lonely Tyne. (Quest Favor252 Stage 200)
  • Win the Imperial Civil War and kill Ulfric Stormcloak (Quest CWSiegeObj Stage >= 9000)

The man who killed her husband is dead and she …

Install & use Install: follow the bundled instructions

  1. Unzip the archive from playbuff and read the bundled readme / instructions first.
  2. There is no universal mod manager for this game: some mods replace game files directly, some go into a game-specific Mods folder, and some need a game-specific community loader or tool first — follow the bundled readme.
  3. Place the files exactly as the readme says; mods with listed dependencies need those installed too.
  4. Launch the game to confirm it loaded; some games require enabling mods in settings or an in-game mod menu.

Install locations vary a lot between games and mods — the bundled readme is the most reliable guide.
