describe

Marcus was born as Knight Number Nine. Uh, Eight Knights. Uh, let's say a Knight of Divines. He is a northerner, but he lived in Cyrodiil most of his life until he decided to visit his ancestral home in Skyrim. A fight with a troll resulted in him having to recover from an injury in the lonely Diwei Temple - he has a diary in his catalog if you want to know more. He is now fully recovered and ready for adventure if you want to take him with you.

Marcus is almost a true knight in shining armor. He's polite, friendly, and will regret it if you were to kill some bandits on the road. Not until he slams his shield into their faces, of course.

feature

Custom speech sets with location-aware annotations. Talk to him in town, go out exploring, or relax in the hotel - he might have something new to say! His voiceover collection is an open source property of Kikiapplus and Christian Gaughf, see the link in the credits section.

His own follower system. He ignores your Friendly Fire and doesn't count against the follower limit, so you can have him tag along with any other followers you might be using. If you tell him to wait, he will stay home indefinitely.

A custom armor based on meshes and textures listed in the credits section. All armor can be tempered and enchanted. The armor is in his inventory - he will wear it after you recruit him, otherwise he will wear a vanilla suit. If you want to change his "civilian" gear, use a minion management mode like Amazing minion tweaks.

Daily schedule. He spent his morning training in the castle's dark courtyard, his afternoon wandering around the Temple of Divini, his evening visits with Blinking Snipers, and then returned to the temple for the night. If you fire him, he will go back to his solitude and resume his daily life. Tell him to stay where he is and use my home as your home, or tell him to wait instead of firing him.

If he gets lost, use a teleportation spell to bring him back. To obtain this spell, look for the "Call Marcus" spell book in Marcus' catalog.

Location

Morning: Castle is in the yard, cutting down a training dummy.

Afternoon: In the Diwen Temple. He might be near a shrine, or it might be cold upstairs - he sometimes goes there to get something to eat.

Evening: Go have a drink or two at the Blinking Sniper.

Night: Return to Diwen Temple.

Some places can get crowded, so if you can't find Marcus, you can use the console to get the "Call Marcus" spellbook and summon him that way. But, to be honest, I never had a problem finding him during testing.

other

Marcus uses a Sundracon compatible body. See the Credits section for more information.

Your player character can wear Marcus' armor. It applies to both male and female characters.

He's a classic heavy armor sword and plate tank, he can also heal himself a bit, but that's not his main focus. (His .esp file was actually called "Healer," but that's no longer correct. I initially wanted to be a healer but gave up on that idea, but renaming the .esps was a pain.)

He has the following perks: Light Foot, Shield Wall (level 2), Power Blow, Matron (level 2), Blade Hand (level 1).

He's level with the players, with no minutes or maximum level restrictions.

Currently, his voice set has no marriage related lines, so he can't get married. Kikiapplus mentioned possibly doing a marriage add-on in the future, so hopefully I can make Marcus's marriage prospects one day!

Install & use Install: follow the bundled instructions

  1. Unzip the archive from playbuff and read the bundled readme / instructions first.
  2. There is no universal mod manager for this game: some mods replace game files directly, some go into a game-specific Mods folder, and some need a game-specific community loader or tool first — follow the bundled readme.
  3. Place the files exactly as the readme says; mods with listed dependencies need those installed too.
  4. Launch the game to confirm it loaded; some games require enabling mods in settings or an in-game mod menu.

Install locations vary a lot between games and mods — the bundled readme is the most reliable guide.
