Arcadia's Mandrake Root Trophy
Detailed introduction:
I absolutely loved Oblivion when it first came out. It has Sean Bean and Captain Picard. It pioneered the concept of microtransactions. Of course, every NPC looks like a potato, and the persuasion mini-game certainly didn't convince me. But these minor flaws can be easily forgiven when you have such gems as a clear Dark Brotherhood quest, a great story about the Gray Fox, and a vampire love story about Count Skingrad (better than Twilight). But that's true of everything. I love Oblivion and this is my most cherished Mandrake Root. These purple treats are basically free disease-cure potions. You don't need to visit the shrine. You don't need to clutter your inventory with bottles. Just head to the Colovian Highlands, pick up these plants with the harvest animation of your imagination, and eat them. Voila, disease free!
Unfortunately, after the success of Fallout 4, the good people at Bethesda were in a more financially secure position and their cafeteria was able to start showering them with fruits and vegetables. After consuming a million tons of dietary fiber, Todd Howard's system became clear and the fog in the man's mind was lifted. "What's the point of having people make potions or visit shrines when you can just pick up some plants and cure your ailments? That's not going to work. We should get rid of Mandrake Root, sell the mods for money, and then charge people $200 for Duffel packs!" And just like that, poof, Mandrake Root is no more.
Wow, so, are you going to bring a spell to SKYRIM? ....No. This mod doesn't bring back the Mandrake Root because, well, seriously, if we're going to do that, why not sell the Daedric Armor at the Riverwood Trader for 5 gold? Rather, the purpose of this mod is to pay homage to the time we spent participating in HAAAAARD in the Imperial Province.
What...did this mod do?
This mod places a Mandrake Root trophy on the wall of Arcadia's Cauldron (Whiterun's alchemy shop). According to the game's lore, Arcadia is originally from Cyrodiil. It's likely that what she brought was a reminder of her return home. Although the dried mandrake root has no potency and serves only as decoration, it is still a valuable item as it reminds Acadia of the good old days.

DESCRIPTIONS:
I thoroughly enjoyed Oblivion when it first came out. It had Sean Bean and Captain Picard. It pioneered the concept of micro-transaction. Sure, every NPC looked like potatoes, and the persuasion mini-games surely didn't persuade me. But those tiny flaws could be easily forgiven when you have gems such as the definitive Dark Brotherhood Quest, the awesome story of the Gray Fox, and the vampire love story of the Count of Skingrad (better than Twilight.) But out of all the things I loved about Oblivion, it was the Mandrake Root I cherished the most. These purple delights were essentially FREE cure disease potions. You don't need to visit shrines. You don't need clutter your inventory with bottles. Just go to the Colovian Highlands, pick up these plants with your imaginary harvest animations, and EAT THEM. And voila, disease FREE!
Unfortunately, after the success of Fallout 4, the fine folks at Bethesda was in a far more secure position financially, and their cafeteria was able to start showering them with fruits and vegetables. And after consuming a megaton of dietary fiber, Todd Howard's system became unclogged and the fog in the man's mind was lifted. "What is the point of having people make potions or visit shrines when you can just pick up some plants and cure your disease? That's just doesn't work. We should get rid of the Mandrake Root, sell mods for money, and charge people $200 for a Duffel bag!" And just like that, poof, Mandrake Roots were no more.

Install & use Install: follow the bundled instructions
- Unzip the archive from playbuff and read the bundled readme / instructions first.
- There is no universal mod manager for this game: some mods replace game files directly, some go into a game-specific Mods folder, and some need a game-specific community loader or tool first — follow the bundled readme.
- Place the files exactly as the readme says; mods with listed dependencies need those installed too.
- Launch the game to confirm it loaded; some games require enabling mods in settings or an in-game mod menu.
Install locations vary a lot between games and mods — the bundled readme is the most reliable guide.
