About this mod Machine translation

Many FMR spells and common spell effects know how to play together from the start, but there are some stubborn ones that refuse to line up. This mod aims to solve this problem, since having only one spell effect is never enough.

NOTE: This mod only changes things that don't already work together. Bound weapons, summons, buff/cloak spells, and non-elemental damage dealers work normally with Presator out of the box. If you don't use any of the spells I talk about below, then you don't need this patch.

What it can do:

Many of the direct elemental attacks (i.e. spells that go from your hand to the spell socket) with the Pyromancer, Cryonmancer, and Electromancer use the special extras added in the Presator Destruction tree for Cryo, Scorched Earth, Stormblast, etc. These effects only trigger on primary hits, and some spell upgrades added via investment points in the MCM interface (exceptions below).

FMR's elemental destruction projectile spells (Ice Lance, Burn, Lightning Strike) will now trigger "Harsh Lessons" on hit, interrupting spellcasting. The same goes for Winter Woe, as I'm pretty sure it would be difficult to cast a spell in hurricane force winds filled with ice.

A few small adjustments bring balance between FMR spells and common law changes to the vanilla magic system. For example, Ice Lance, Frost Bomb, and Winter's Scourge now all slow the target's movement speed by 50% for 5 seconds to bring them in line with the normal changes to all vanilla ice spells. Divine Light's healing effect has been increased from 40 to 50, matching Fast Heal and remaining competitive with higher level healing spells in the late game.

Several scripted spells with static magnitudes such as Holy Arrow and Charge will now scale with the appropriate mastery amount. The same goes for some MCM spell upgrades, as described below. Big thanks to Krell55, his help was invaluable in getting this working.

Many of FMR's auxiliary enhancements have been implemented with appropriate special effects in Ordinator (full list below). Each MCM description has been appended to record new changes.

Fixed some bugs that were not working properly in vanilla FMR.

notes:

Meteor showers will trigger the fire perk, but only on direct hits, which in my experience happens about once every quarter of a century.

The free second fire blast triggered by the Firestarter upgrade also triggers the fire perk.

The Lightning Strike upgraded Chain Lighting jump should be able to trigger a slight shock effect on secondary targets (Arc Burn and Magnetize), but not more powerful effects like Stormblast.

Skyfall should cause all impact effects to anyone within the landing damage AoE.

Winter Scourge's slow and secondary ice blast effects trigger as long as enemies are in the danger zone.

Divine Light's "Divine Vindication" upgraded secondary healing effect scales with your Restoration Mastery.

The instant healing from the Nature's Touch upgrade from Healing Touch will scale with your Restoration Mastery.

Holy Armor The massive healing gained from the Last Hope upgrade scales with your Restoration Mastery.

Spectral missiles do not trigger any elemental effects. Despite claiming to do "Fire, Frost, or Shock" damage in the description, the actual damage it does is called "MagicDamageArcane" and is mitigated by normal magic resistance. Plus, you know... like... fantasy and stuff.

Stormstrike does not trigger any major shock effects and is a DoT rather than an attack.

Bug fixes:

(Thanks to Bloodriot96503 for helping them)

Fixed a piece of code in the Frost Bomb script that was preventing Ice Flow from working properly, it should now trigger AoE casts as expected.

Removed 20 health cost from Deathly Pall's perk Enslave Spirit. The way it's implemented will constantly drain you of 20 health points every second in combat, making it unusable. It would be a lot of trouble to fix it, so I just removed the cost. Pretty sure no one will cry about this.

Install & use Install: follow the bundled instructions

  1. Unzip the archive from playbuff and read the bundled readme / instructions first.
  2. There is no universal mod manager for this game: some mods replace game files directly, some go into a game-specific Mods folder, and some need a game-specific community loader or tool first — follow the bundled readme.
  3. Place the files exactly as the readme says; mods with listed dependencies need those installed too.
  4. Launch the game to confirm it loaded; some games require enabling mods in settings or an in-game mod menu.

Install locations vary a lot between games and mods — the bundled readme is the most reliable guide.
