Macromancy 3.5 is an updated version of Revylrie's Macromancy 3, a spell pack that adds 7 new Alteration spells that allow you to change the size of yourself or others, as well as the scrolls and staves of these spells.
Macromancy 3.5 is a continuation of the original Macromancy 2 project by Vanax8991 (based on the work of harbinger86) and improved upon in Revylrie's Macromancy 3, where each spell has its own spell tome and scripts, spell effects and item art have received some basic fixes. , and corresponding staves and scrolls were created for certain spells, while Nazira (a character from the first Macromancy) reappeared as a change trainer and seller of said items. Given Skyrim's very limited support for dynamically changing character proportions, it's a really impressive job - but I can't help but notice that buried within the insurmountable limitations are a lot of bugs that still need and need to be fixed. My iteration of the mod aims to do just that.
Features from previous version (3.2)
Six apprentice-level change spells (absorb size, give size, grow, restore size, restore size other, shrink) and one master-level change spell (mass absorb size), with spell book and level list distribution.
When certain maximum size thresholds are reached, two smaller powers are available (costs dragon soul, costs energy).
The four staffs ("Absorption Size", "Given Size", "Mass Absorption Size", "Restore Size Other") and the three scroll bars ("Restore Size", "Mass Absorption Size", "Restore Size Other") also have horizontal list distribution.

Improvements in Macromancy 3.5
The object ranges for Tome of Spells, Staff and Scrolls should now be set correctly respectively.
The dysfunctional Mod configuration menu has been removed - even though it works as expected, it's not really necessary.
Consuming Dragon Souls/Consumption Size no longer requires you to have up to 10 Dragon Souls/max size after unlocking in order to use them; the conditions have changed and the math has been redesigned so that only Dragon Souls or a max size of 2 are required. Regardless, without these minimum amounts it is impossible to trigger the effect.
Scripts have been optimized - for example, functions like SetActorValue have aliases (SetAV), and due to the inefficiency of the Skyrim scripting engine, which requires an extra step to call its parent function (and thus takes longer to execute), instances of "SetAV" and the like are replaced with their native counterparts (and thus are slightly faster). Where feasible, extraneous If and While statements have also been consolidated or removed.
Current and maximum sizes are now represented by a single character value - Fame. One feature of actor values that previous authors have overlooked is that each actor can have a current value and a maximum value. That is, there is no need for two separate actor values to track the actor's current size and maximum size. As a result, Macromancy 3.5 no longer uses Infamy actor values, and scripts and magic effects have been changed accordingly.
Therefore, the script has been rewritten to only use SetActorValue, DamageActorValue and RestoreActorValue to modify the current size and maximum size. This prevents actors from bypassing the minimum size cap (0.25) or failing to reach the maximum size due to rounding errors, even though rounding errors due to growth can be caused by improper use of ModActorValue and ForceActorValue - neither of which are necessary when Macromancy's spell effects other functions that (with the help of some clever math) can do the job nicely without unintended side effects.
Speaking of clever math, the magic resistance formula has been rewritten proportionately, including the one used to determine the increase in shrinking an actor to their post-d …
Install & use Install: follow the bundled instructions
- Unzip the archive from playbuff and read the bundled readme / instructions first.
- There is no universal mod manager for this game: some mods replace game files directly, some go into a game-specific Mods folder, and some need a game-specific community loader or tool first — follow the bundled readme.
- Place the files exactly as the readme says; mods with listed dependencies need those installed too.
- Launch the game to confirm it loaded; some games require enabling mods in settings or an in-game mod menu.
Install locations vary a lot between games and mods — the bundled readme is the most reliable guide.
