About this mod Machine translation

This mod gives everyone's favorite housecarl a whole new look. Required to use ApachiiSkyHair!

This mod simply gives Lydia a new look. It changes her hair to one of ApachiiSkyHair's styles, so it's required. It also gives Lydia blue eyes, but you can change that if you want. If something goes wrong, please leave a comment and I'll try to help you. It should only be installed using NMM.

If you edit this file in the Creation Toolbox, before saving and exiting, make sure to do the following:

  • Make sure you are happy with the changes.
  • Select Lydia in the actors tab, press ctrl + F4
  • This should bring up a small box that says "Export facegen data?"
  • Click Yes

This should help you avoid any problems editing on your own.

In my screenshots I'm using Eisen Platte Armor and Dawnbreaker Redone, which I had to port myself from an older version of Skyrim. Both mods belong to their respective creators and since I didn't get permission I won't be uploading them. It's very easy to port them yourself, so just follow this guide to port any mod you want from older versions of Skyrim to Skyrim SE. I'm also using SPOA Silver Knight Shield, which is on SSE and is easy to download. I also installed Lupus' Breezehome because a good Breezehome overhaul hasn't been ported yet and I couldn't get it to work =[

This mod is similar to Chao's redesign of Lydia from the original version of Skyrim, but when I ported it myself I couldn't get it to work, so I just made my own and share it with you. For my inspiration, hats off to Chao.

Install & use Install: follow the bundled instructions

  1. Unzip the archive from playbuff and read the bundled readme / instructions first.
  2. There is no universal mod manager for this game: some mods replace game files directly, some go into a game-specific Mods folder, and some need a game-specific community loader or tool first — follow the bundled readme.
  3. Place the files exactly as the readme says; mods with listed dependencies need those installed too.
  4. Launch the game to confirm it loaded; some games require enabling mods in settings or an in-game mod menu.

Install locations vary a lot between games and mods — the bundled readme is the most reliable guide.
