About this mod Machine translation

Restored cut lycanthropy.

While exploring the creation tools, I discovered an unused disease effect that seemed to be an explanation for Sanies Lupine (aka Lycanthropy). Seeing this, and what I read about werewolves from UESP inspired me to finish this disease.

The behavior of this disease is based on Sanguinare Vampiris, one of the many vampire diseases that is already in the game and already exists. When scratched by a werewolf, there's a chance you'll contract Sanies Lupinus, which will reduce movement speed by 25% (translations of the legend suggest it induces drowsiness). If left uncured after three days, the disease will transform into full werewolf, forcing you to assume wolf form, unable to change six times within game time.

This mod should be compatible with everything, since apart from the aforementioned disease effects, it consists entirely of new forms. Of course, if you're using Werewolf Overhaul, I would recommend turning off any werewolf diseases in Werewolf Overhaul to avoid duplication. This shouldn't interfere with the companion questline, although it will still function as if you weren't a werewolf.

While poking around the creation kit, I discovered an unused disease effect that seemed to have been intended as an interpretation of Sanies Lupinus, aka the werewolf disease. Seeing this, and what I've read about lycanthropy from UESP inspired me to complete this disease.

The behavior of this disease is based on that of Sanguinare Vampiris, one of the many vampire diseases, which already exists in-game, and preexisting lore. When scratched by a werewolf, there is a chance that you will contract Sanies Lupinus, which will reduce movement speed by 25% (a translation of the lore stating that it causes drowsiness). If left uncured after three days, the disease will transition into full lycanthropy, forcing you into wolf form, unable to change back for six in-game hours.

This mod should be compatible with everything since, aside from the aforementioned disease effect, it is composed entirely of new forms. I would, of course, recommend turning off any lycanthropy diseases included in werewolf overhauls if you use one in order to avoid duplicates. This should not interfere with the companions questline either, although it will still play out as though you are not a werewolf.

Install & use Install: follow the bundled instructions

  1. Unzip the archive from playbuff and read the bundled readme / instructions first.
  2. There is no universal mod manager for this game: some mods replace game files directly, some go into a game-specific Mods folder, and some need a game-specific community loader or tool first — follow the bundled readme.
  3. Place the files exactly as the readme says; mods with listed dependencies need those installed too.
  4. Launch the game to confirm it loaded; some games require enabling mods in settings or an in-game mod menu.

Install locations vary a lot between games and mods — the bundled readme is the most reliable guide.
