Limited Lockpicks allow you to control many features related to lockpicks. You no longer can only throw locks on main level locks, the purpose of this mod is to make locking more strategic, adding more value to the extra gains in the lock picking tree.
I highly recommend using the bashed/merged patch as I have very few Leveled Lists, NPCs and Containers that I have to edit.

Limited Lockpicks allows you to control a number of features related to lockpicks. No longer can you just throw lockpicks at master-level locks, the aim of this mod is to make lockpicking more strategic, adding a greater value to taking perks in the lockpicking tree.
I highly recommend the use of a bashed/merged patch, because I had to edit a very few Leveled Lists, NPCs, and Containers.

Install & use Install: follow the bundled instructions
- Unzip the archive from playbuff and read the bundled readme / instructions first.
- There is no universal mod manager for this game: some mods replace game files directly, some go into a game-specific Mods folder, and some need a game-specific community loader or tool first — follow the bundled readme.
- Place the files exactly as the readme says; mods with listed dependencies need those installed too.
- Launch the game to confirm it loaded; some games require enabling mods in settings or an in-game mod menu.
Install locations vary a lot between games and mods — the bundled readme is the most reliable guide.
