About this mod Machine translation
This mod enables you to convert any heavy armor in the game into light armor.
This mode allows you to enter any forge and convert any heavy armor into light armor.
Why?
I like the look of the Daedric armor and I think the dragon plate armor is much cooler than the dragon proportions. Heck, I even like the look of the iron armor compared to the other light armor in the game. Unfortunately, I always played a rogue, an archer or an assassin, which didn't really work with heavy armor.
Using this mod, I can make the Daedric armor a "light" category, change its weight to a lighter weight, and lower its armor rating to make it less maneuverable.
How much reduction do you think? As a default, I started with dragon plates and dragon proportions, which are about 90% armor and 25% weight, but this is fully configurable and entirely up to you!
Required funds:
This module requires Java to be installed on your system.
Install
Extract the mod into the data folder.
Run the file: Data\SkyProc Patchers\LightenHeavyArmor\start.bat
Click "Additional Settings" in the left panel and select what percentage the converted light armor should be.
Click "Patch" in the upper right corner and wait for the build to complete.
activate the generated esp file: Lighten heavy armor.esp
This patch should be run and placed after all other mods that add or change armor, and should be generated again if you add or remove mods.
Change armor.
Test if it works:
Put some heavy armor in your inventory
Go to any fake place to activate it
You should be able to craft lighter versions of the heavy armor you have in your inventory.
compatibility
I'm basing this mod on the SkyProc patch so it should be compatible with all other mods and take into account any other armor mods you have installed (immersive armor, etc.).
Install & use Install: follow the bundled instructions
- Unzip the archive from playbuff and read the bundled readme / instructions first.
- There is no universal mod manager for this game: some mods replace game files directly, some go into a game-specific Mods folder, and some need a game-specific community loader or tool first — follow the bundled readme.
- Place the files exactly as the readme says; mods with listed dependencies need those installed too.
- Launch the game to confirm it loaded; some games require enabling mods in settings or an in-game mod menu.
Install locations vary a lot between games and mods — the bundled readme is the most reliable guide.
