Removed Health, Magicka and Stamina sticks, as well as Stealth Meter and Arrow Count.

I don't like the distracting health, stamina and magic wands, or the invisibility meter, and I especially don't like the arrow count display. They were all very distracting, and unfortunately there was no ini setting to completely get rid of them without completely bombing the HUD, so I messed with the vr_hmd_info.swf file and scaled them all to 0, so they disappeared.

There's probably a better way, and if you know it, feel free to explain how much I suck and how great your method is in the comments; I've never messed with swf files before, so the opportunity to learn is appreciated.

A brief explanation of how I did this so you can customize it more:

  • I unzipped the interface\vr\vr_hmd_info.swf file from Skyrim_VR - Main.bsa file
  • I opened it in JPEXS Free Flash Decompiler (easy to use, but I'm sure there are better tools),
  • Click No to prompt all
  • I extended the DefineSprite(1236:HUDMovie) object,
  • I went to the parts of the HUD that I didn't like (StealthMeterInstance, Health, Magica, Stamina and ArrowInfoInstance)
  • For everyone: I click the edit button on the info window

– Extended matrix object

  • Set the hasScale field to true

—Set the scaleX and scaleY fields to 0

  • Then save and place the file in data\interface\vr folder

Install:

To install the mod, you can use your favorite mod manager, or unzip the contents into the Skyrim VR data directory.

I don't like the distracting health, stamina, and magicka bars, or the stealth meter, and I especially dislike the arrow count display.  They're all very distracting and there're unfortunately no ini settings to get rid of them without bombing the HUD entirely, so I messed with the vr_hmd_info.swf file and set them all to scale to 0, so they dissapear.

A brief description of how I did it, so you can customize it more:

  • I extracted the interface\vr\vr_hmd_info.swf file from the Skyrim_VR - Main.bsa file
  • I opened it in JPEXS Free Flash Decompiler (easy to use, but I'm sure there are better tools for this),
  • click No to all for the prompt
  • I expanded DefineSprite (1236: HUDMovie) object,
  • I went to HUD parts I didn't like (StealthMeterInstance, Health, Magica, Stamina, and ArrowInfoInstance)
  • For each of them: I clicked the edit button on the info window
  • expanded the matrix object
  • set the hasScale field to true
  • set the scaleX and scaleY fields to 0
  • Then save and put the file in the data\interface\vr folder

Installation:

To install the mod, you can use your favorite mod manager, or extract the contents to your Skyrim VR data directory.

Install & use Install: follow the bundled instructions

  1. Unzip the archive from playbuff and read the bundled readme / instructions first.
  2. There is no universal mod manager for this game: some mods replace game files directly, some go into a game-specific Mods folder, and some need a game-specific community loader or tool first — follow the bundled readme.
  3. Place the files exactly as the readme says; mods with listed dependencies need those installed too.
  4. Launch the game to confirm it loaded; some games require enabling mods in settings or an in-game mod menu.

Install locations vary a lot between games and mods — the bundled readme is the most reliable guide.
