Leafeater’s Lonely Tree Overhaul
I've always loved the trees in Skyrim. The City Plus overhaul either had a huge impact on performance or just added too many things for my liking. When I came across Solitude I couldn't find the right mod for me and after many requests from people for a Solitude overhaul I decided to finally release my mod. This mode is designed to minimize clipping, NPC movement interference, and add enough space to make the city feel full without going overboard.
I tried to stick to the feel of my Whiterun Tree overhaul, but adding aspen trees to Solitude just felt wrong to me. So this mod only adds pine trees and some fallen and broken trunks and more flora, I feel like these areas are too barren. The placement of trees should not interfere with NPC routes or break any immersion when it comes to civil war (if you choose the Stormcloak side.) I use enhanced vanilla trees in my game and take them into account when creating mods. It should still be compatible with any other tree mod, but the clipping may differ depending on the tree model you use. If you have any problem please let me know and I will fix it.
Mod has been cleaned using SSEEdit. If the mod is successful, I will consider uploading compatible versions of other mods. (Open City, Ultimate Solitude, etc.).
Regardless of success rate, a Solitude/Skyrim compatible version of JK is planned.
Install:
Install like any normal mod. All it contains is an esp. Just use your Mod Manager or just manually drag the esp into the data folder of the Skyrim directory and enable it using your Mod Manager.
How to uninstall:
Just delete it from the mod manager or manually go to the data folder and delete it. Removing mid-game should be fine since it simply adds trees. But as with all mods, uninstalling mid-game is not recommended.
Mods I used in the screenshots:
Lonely Tree Overhaul (this one)
4k sun texture of luxor
Enhanced Vanilla Tree (dark, lush)
Ultimate Solitude 4K
EEK’s Flora Overhaul
obsidian mountain fog
majestic mountains (dark)
Rudy ENB
NAT
Luxor Landscape Overhaul HD

Install & use Install: follow the bundled instructions
- Unzip the archive from playbuff and read the bundled readme / instructions first.
- There is no universal mod manager for this game: some mods replace game files directly, some go into a game-specific Mods folder, and some need a game-specific community loader or tool first — follow the bundled readme.
- Place the files exactly as the readme says; mods with listed dependencies need those installed too.
- Launch the game to confirm it loaded; some games require enabling mods in settings or an in-game mod menu.
Install locations vary a lot between games and mods — the bundled readme is the most reliable guide.
