Leafeater’s 3-in-1 Tree Overhaul
Whether original textures from 2011 or 4K, the beautiful Windhelm, Whiterun and Solitude will be breathtaking. But something always seemed off about them. Cities always feel a little empty. If you're like me, you prefer healthy vegetation, and this mod aims to achieve that by blending beauty with fullness without compromising NPC movement or pruning. So many different mods can't add too much, too much to clip into every object, limiting NPC movement so NPCs are always walking into things (which is lively, but still quiet), or just feel a little dull. This mod avoids all of these problems while still maintaining the beauty these three wonderful cities deserve. Available in vanilla or JK version of Skyrim. Satisfaction Guaranteed, or Your Approval.
This is a merged version of my three trees overhaul into a simple .esp file with some tweaks to the original file to make it blend in better with the city. Added more flora to some areas (even more in the vanilla version), and adjusted tree placement in both to blend in better.
This plugin is fairly lightweight and space-saving, making it even better for those who want to do tree inspections without using up precious .esp space. It adds trees and flora to cities like Windhelm, Solitude, and Whiterun, which really enhances the urban space and atmosphere without affecting NPC movement.
Fully compatible with SFO, Vanilla Tree and EVT. Almost non-existent minimal clipping. Enhanced lighting and FX looks are also fully compatible. There is also a 3D tree optimized version available in both vanilla and JK's Skyrim.
This mod is no longer related to LOD generation. No need to disable plugins when generating LODs.
Install:
If using a mod manager, install it like any other mod. If you want to install manually, drag and drop the .esp into the data folder and enable it.
Uninstall:
Just remove it from your mod list or find "Leafeaters3TreesOverhaul.esp" in your data folder and delete it. Removing it mid-game should be fine, but as with any mod, use caution and always back up your saves.
If you like my mod, don't forget to endorse it. I really appreciate your feedback!

Leafeater's 3-in-1 Tree Overhaul
The beautiful cities of Windhelm, Whiterun, and Solitude will always be breathtaking, whether it be in vanilla textures from 2011 or in 4K. But something always seemed off about them; the cities always felt a bit empty. If you are like me, then you prefer a healthy amount of vegetation, which this mod aims to do by bringing in a mix of beauty and fullness without compromising NPC movement or clipping. So many different mods add not enough, too much, clip into every object, restrict NPC movement so NPC's are always walking into things (a bit hilarious but still) or just feel a bit too dull. This mod avoids all of those issues while still maintaining the Beauty that these three wonderful cities deserve. Available in vanilla or JK's Skyrim versions. Satisfaction guaranteed, or your endorsement back.
This is a merged version of my three tree overhauls into one simple.esp with a few tweaks from the originals to blend a bit better in with the cities. More flora was added in some areas (more-so in the vanilla version) and tree placement in both was tweaked to blend a bit better.
This plugin is fairly light, saves space, and is much better for those wanting tree overhauls without using precious.esp space. It adds trees and flora to the cities of Windhelm, Solitude, and Whiterun which really enhances the city space and atmosphere while staying clear of NPC movement.
Perfectly compatible with SFO, vanilla trees, and EVT. Minimal clipping …
Install & use Install: follow the bundled instructions
- Unzip the archive from playbuff and read the bundled readme / instructions first.
- There is no universal mod manager for this game: some mods replace game files directly, some go into a game-specific Mods folder, and some need a game-specific community loader or tool first — follow the bundled readme.
- Place the files exactly as the readme says; mods with listed dependencies need those installed too.
- Launch the game to confirm it loaded; some games require enabling mods in settings or an in-game mod menu.
Install locations vary a lot between games and mods — the bundled readme is the most reliable guide.
