About this mod Machine translation
An extension of Live Another Life that gives you the option to use a dog companion and a modest cabin west of Falkreath as the player's home.
Mod description
You'll start outside the forest cabin west of Falkreath, with your dog Ulf at your side and a bow on his back. You'll soon learn that your cabin has been locked and your hunting companions have started another hunt without you to track them down and retrieve the keys to gain access to their new home.
This is my first mod, it was created for personal use because I wanted to start a new game with Hunterborn, Frostfall, iNeed, and other immersion/survival type mods, but I didn't feel like any of the current options for Live Another Life were very suitable for what I wanted. The camping options from LAL were close, but the immersive and difficulty modes I played made starting out in a colder climate with only a tent a real challenge, to put it mildly. I wanted a starting location in a warm area with a real family instead of just a tent. Nothing fancy like Lakeview Manor. I was a poor hunter killing people to survive, not a wealthy landowner out hunting for trophies. Once I make money from skinning and selling pelts, I can "upgrade" to a tent so I can better equip my character for life in the cold mountains.
About me
As stated in the mod description, I created the mod for personal use. After I finished it, I loved it and decided to share it. I'm not a modder and don't plan on releasing any more mods or upgrading/improving this, but if anyone spots anything I've messed up or you'd like to see done differently, please let me know and I'll do my best.
compatibility
The only minor incompatibility I've found so far is with the follower mod of the Green. If that mod is installed, there are two animal skulls floating slightly on the ground next to the cabin. If you use the mod, they can be disabled from the console. Before smashing, batching and merging, I was getting ~260 esp in my load order and everything was working fine with one exception.
thank you and acknowledgment
First a huge thank you to Arthmoor! I obviously couldn't create this mod without his Alternate Start - Live Another Life Mod. I also couldn't create it using his great tutorial on creating extensions for LAL. I also need to give credit to DarkFox127 on YouTube, I followed many videos while making this video.

Install & use Install: follow the bundled instructions
- Unzip the archive from playbuff and read the bundled readme / instructions first.
- There is no universal mod manager for this game: some mods replace game files directly, some go into a game-specific Mods folder, and some need a game-specific community loader or tool first — follow the bundled readme.
- Place the files exactly as the readme says; mods with listed dependencies need those installed too.
- Launch the game to confirm it loaded; some games require enabling mods in settings or an in-game mod menu.
Install locations vary a lot between games and mods — the bundled readme is the most reliable guide.
