Lake View Extension - Fireplace SSE Basement at Windsor Manor and Helgason Hall
I've been using this mod in my own game for quite some time and have seen requests like this one in the Lakeview Expansion - Heartbreak SSE posts section. So I sent an afternoon to Ac3s, who kindly allowed me to publish this article.
You can find older versions of the mod here.
It works well with follower mods such as My Home Is Your Home, etc.
Making it work, however, is a problem you'll have to figure out on your own.
I added basements to Helgachen and Winstad and had to clutter the place. I was careful not to put anything underneath so that the minion wouldn't hit the table, chair, or bed when sandboxing. Still, the vanilla navme in the cellar wasn't as clean as I was, and Bethesda wasn't as careful as I was. I made no effort to clean the netting under everything in the cellar.
Navmesh in the furnace room is a problem. You'll notice that sometimes an NPC will spawn a monster standing on a chair. This is because there is navmesh underneath. They also sometimes bump into tables and chairs while playing sand ball. This is because navmesh is everywhere and they think they can go there. It's not my fault, they won't call them Bugseda without a valid reason. . .
There are two versions of the Mod.
All-in-one machine (X3 version). This is a new script. It contains the basements of all three homes. Do not use this to install a lake view extension basement module.
X2 version. This is an existing basement that you already have installed in the basement and you just want to add the basement to the manor house and manor hall.

Lakeview Extended - Hearthfire SSE Basement in Windstad Manor and Heljarchen Hall
I have used this mod in my own game for quite some time and have seen requests for something like this in the Lakeview Extended - Hearthfire SSE posts section. So I sent a PM to Ac3s about it and he kindly gave me his permission to publish this.
You can find the Oldrim version of the Mod here.
It works well with follower mods like My Home is Your Home, etc.
However, getting it to work is an issue that you will have to resolve yourself.
I added the basement to Heljarchen and Windstad and had to navmesh the area. I was careful not to put navmesh under anything so followers will not bump into tables, chairs or beds while sandboxing. However, the vanilla navmesh in the Cellar isn't as neat and Bethesda isn't as careful as I am. I made no effort to clean up the navmesh in the cellar that was under everything.
Navmesh in the Hearthfire Homes is an issue. You will notice sometimes an NPC will spawn stuck standing on top of a chair. This is because there is navmesh under it. They will also sometimes bump into tables and chairs while sandboxing. This is because the navmesh is everywhere and they think they can walk there. This isn't something I caused, they don't call them Bugthesda without good reason...
There are two versions of the mod.
All in One (The X3 version). This is for a New Playthrough. It contains the Basement for all three homes. Do Not Install the Lakeview Extended Basement mod with this one.
The X2 version. This is for an Existing Playthrough where you already have the Basement installed in Lakeview Manor and you just want to add the basement to Windstand Manor and Heljarchen Hall.
Install & use Install: follow the bundled instructions
- Unzip the archive from playbuff and read the bundled readme / instructions first.
- There is no universal mod manager for this game: some mods replace game files directly, some go into a game-specific Mods folder, and some need a game-specific community loader or tool first — follow the bundled readme.
- Place the files exactly as the readme says; mods with listed dependencies need those installed too.
- Launch the game to confirm it loaded; some games require enabling mods in settings or an in-game mod menu.
Install locations vary a lot between games and mods — the bundled readme is the most reliable guide.
