This is a modder's resource for exporting NPC facegen from the Creation Kit. Apply KS Hairdos to vanilla NPCs when exporting facegen from Creation Kit.
Overview
I created this mod to create another mod for KSHair of all vanilla NPCs, and I wanted to share this resource with the MODING community.
This is a resource for the NPC FaceGen modem exported from CreationKit.
This mode works with KS Hairdos exported from CreationKit to vanilla NPCs during FaceGen.
Do not install this mod into the game's normal load order.
This mod is only intended to be installed to a minimal load order for NPC FaceGen exports from CreationKit only.
You must install this mod and all its requirements into a minimal load order.

This mod was inspired by vanilla NPCS and I am very grateful to Ruhad for sharing his knowledge with the modding community. in this position.
However, if the mask is on CK, then you are lucky because you can regenerate these.
First, you have to prepare your equipment. Uninstall almost everything. You really want vanilla Skyrim+EEO. There are no additional meshes or textures that affect players or NPCs. Next, you install SUEMR, Eyes AO Fix, ENB Brow Fix, BVFE's Player Teeth, Dual Vertex Human Oral Restoration, and optionally express facial animation if you plan to use it. (I recommend. Teeth look much better.
Then load the Creation Toolkit, select the actors, and sort by race. Then use Shift+click down to select each group of actors by race. Ignore those blank races. Just make the elven races and their vampire equivalents. Neglecting children. Once you have a selection, hit Ctrl+F4 to start regeneration. Don't mess with CK while he's doing it. Even if CK looks like he's falling apart in the process, leave it alone. Let it be over. Once it's done, it will magically un-crash itself, allowing you to move on. Once done, close CK. You should have newly created sprites baked with all mesh improvements, along with all other editors in the EEO application. This is an important statement, CK hates makeup files that are too high resolution. You'll know you've done a wrong shading file when an NPC suddenly develops a red/purple forehead defect. EEO comes with tint files, so I'm going to assume it's either with CK-friendly makeup elves, or just changed the way their makeup appears in CK. Make EEO compatible with all patches at the same time. Simple. Load vanilla Skyrim + EEO + whatever ESP is relevant to the patch on your machine. Repeat what I said above.
Made a mistake? no problem. Delete the color you made and start over.

background
The goal of this mod is to apply KS Hairdos to NPCs, rather than using the vanilla hairstyles used in CreationKit's FaceGen export process. Maintains compatibility with base game and Bethesda DLC expansions as defined in vanilla NPC records.
NPC record compatibility is the main goal of this mode. The NPC head mesh produced by this FaceGen export platform is 100% compatible with vanilla NPC records. No need to overwrite NPC records. The NPC head mesh produced by this rig is a drop-in replacement for the vanilla head mesh.
During the development of this mod I learned the following information about NPC hairstyles that you may find useful.
First, some definitions:
A hairstyle record is a head HDPT record with field PNAM-type=HEAD
A hair extra record is an HDPT record of the head part referenced by the hairstyle, with data --flag-is-extra-part=is-extra-part
The name of the hairstyle or additional part of the hair is specified by the field edid-Editor id, rather than by the full name of the field.
NPC records can specify a hairstyle, or NPC records (such as Tullius) can omit a hairstyle and use the NPC's race to record the hairstyle.
To maintain compatibility with vanilla NPC records, the rig's override hairstyle record name must match the vanilla na …
Install & use Install: follow the bundled instructions
- Unzip the archive from playbuff and read the bundled readme / instructions first.
- There is no universal mod manager for this game: some mods replace game files directly, some go into a game-specific Mods folder, and some need a game-specific community loader or tool first — follow the bundled readme.
- Place the files exactly as the readme says; mods with listed dependencies need those installed too.
- Launch the game to confirm it loaded; some games require enabling mods in settings or an in-game mod menu.
Install locations vary a lot between games and mods — the bundled readme is the most reliable guide.
