About this mod Machine translation
mod, a port of Keepsakes, from Classic to SSE. This is a fully configurable module that allows you to mark items as "souvenirs" so you don't accidentally sell or throw them away.
This is my unofficial port of this mod from Mattiewagg, it's a great mod and now fully functional in SSE. In a comment on the original post, Mattiewagg gave full permission to anyone trying to port the mod, so here it is.
describe
If you want the full experience, please read the original mod description. I'll briefly summarize the features here:
- Allows you to set items to "Keepsakes" using configurable hotkeys
- "Keepsakes" are not immediately sold or thrown away, instead a prompt will appear on the screen asking you if you really want to do so
- Optional disarm option, if you are disarmed e.g. a dramatic death lord it will ask you if you want to lose your weapon
- Full configuration available via MCM menu so you can easily set preferences and keybindings
If you have any questions, please check out the original mod page first, then the F.A.Q. for answers, then ask here.
The mod requires SKSE64 to work
For the MCM menu to work, you need to use SkyUI
Install
Easy, use the mod manager of your choice, I recommend MO2.
Manually: Just place the files from the zip folder into the Skyrim Data folder and activate ESP in the launcher

Install & use Install: follow the bundled instructions
- Unzip the archive from playbuff and read the bundled readme / instructions first.
- There is no universal mod manager for this game: some mods replace game files directly, some go into a game-specific Mods folder, and some need a game-specific community loader or tool first — follow the bundled readme.
- Place the files exactly as the readme says; mods with listed dependencies need those installed too.
- Launch the game to confirm it loaded; some games require enabling mods in settings or an in-game mod menu.
Install locations vary a lot between games and mods — the bundled readme is the most reliable guide.
