About this mod Machine translation

Provides AI Upscaled versions of all Tintmasks from the vanilla game in 2K. Most of them look good, but some look very pixelated.

This mod requires SKSE, without it my textures will be scaled down to 512x512 and then upgraded again.

You also need SKSE.ini. Either create a

<YourSkyrimInstallationFolder>\data\SKSE\SKSE.ini:

It should contain:

[conventional]

ClearInvalidRegistrations = 1

[show]

iTintTextureResolution = 2048

Either:

Just download my file from the optional files and install it using your favorite mod manager.

------------

Loading order:

Load as early as possible. If you use Loot, add esp to the Creation Club group.

------------

This mod uses the power of Topaz A.I. Gigapixel V2.1.0 upscales all textures in the Tintmasks folder (197) to 2048. Unlike most upscaling algorithms, the results actually look good in most cases.

I made this mod complete all the tintmasks that are missing from the other mods because as far as I know there is no other mod that can retexture all tintmasks.

I recommend only using this mod as a base for others, or if you like the style of vanilla warpaints.

Look at the pictures to see examples of good and bad results.

I recommend using the BSA version of this mod. Because if you extract the loose file 7z it will use 519 MB on your hard drive.

------------

For those interested. I'm using the following settings in gigapixel:

Magnification options:

*size

Suitable for width:

2048 pixels

Reduce noise and blur:

powerful

Since Gigapixel cannot open .dds files, I first converted them to png using Microsoft's texconv and then recompressed them with BC1.

------------

Good options to replace some tintmasks from this mod are:

Warpaints:

Painting - They use watercolor style

VanillaWarpaint Absolution - Use different styles, more complete than Painterly

Makeup and Lips (Most body and facial reshaping include these.) Examples:

BijinSkin

FairSkin complexion

Install & use Install: follow the bundled instructions

  1. Unzip the archive from playbuff and read the bundled readme / instructions first.
  2. There is no universal mod manager for this game: some mods replace game files directly, some go into a game-specific Mods folder, and some need a game-specific community loader or tool first — follow the bundled readme.
  3. Place the files exactly as the readme says; mods with listed dependencies need those installed too.
  4. Launch the game to confirm it loaded; some games require enabling mods in settings or an in-game mod menu.

Install locations vary a lot between games and mods — the bundled readme is the most reliable guide.
