Jawbone Immersive Armor Repair

by Jawbone78·v1.0·Updated 2018-12-03

Two small tweaks make Immersive Armors more immersive: one to turn off all armor distribution by default (best used when starting a new game - it's the same as just unmodifying everything in the mod menu), and one to restore Hadvar and Ralof's vanilla armor sets (since they're not officers, their IA gear shatters immersion).

Immersive Armor "Fixes" v1.0 by Jawbone

describe

In my opinion, this mod contains two esps to make the immersive armor more immersive.

The first simply disables all assignment options for IA armor and shields. This is useful when you're starting a new game and you just want IA armor to be easy to craft, or you want to control distribution from the start. This only affects the mod menu's starting settings, so you can still enable any settings you want at any time. Immersive Armor starts with just about everything enabled; I just like to keep most of the options just for myself and my fans.

The second prevents Ralof and Hadvar from getting their IA armors, since no one should have them. They are not senior officers; they should have equipment appropriate to their stations.

Use one or both or both depending on your needs.

This mod is provided as-is; I do not expect any updates to be made to it, nor do I expect anyone to need any. Use at your own risk (for what it's worth, it's two teeny tiny ESPS, no risk whatsoever).

Install

Install using the mod manager of your choice, or copy your desired mod into the Data folder.

uninstall

Uninstall using the mod manager of your choice, or remove mods you added during installation.

Do what you want; I really don't care.

Thanks to Hothtrooper and Ecks and everyone else who contributed to Immersive Armors. I love this mod; I just disagree with two small parts of its implementation :).

Jawbone's Immersive Armor "Fixes" v1.0

by Jawbone78

Description

This mod contains two esps to make using Immersive Armors a little more immersive, in my opinion.

The first simply disables all distribution options by default for IA armors and shields. This is mainly useful for when you're starting a new game and you only want the IA armors to be craftable, or you want to control distribution right from the get-go. This only affects the starting settings for the mod menu, so you can still enable whatever you want whenever you want. Immersive Armors starts out with almost everything enabled; I simply prefer to keep most of the options for myself and my followers.

The second prevents Ralof and Hadvar from ever getting their IA armors, since neither one should have them. They are not high-ranking officers; they should have gear to match their station.

Use one or the other or both, depending on what you want.

Disclaimer

This mod is provided as-is; I don't expect to have to make any updates to it, nor do I expect anyone to need any updates. Use at your own risk (for what it's worth, it's two teeny tiny esps that really pose no risk to anything, anywhere).

Install & use Install: follow the bundled instructions

  1. Unzip the archive from playbuff and read the bundled readme / instructions first.
  2. There is no universal mod manager for this game: some mods replace game files directly, some go into a game-specific Mods folder, and some need a game-specific community loader or tool first — follow the bundled readme.
  3. Place the files exactly as the readme says; mods with listed dependencies need those installed too.
  4. Launch the game to confirm it loaded; some games require enabling mods in settings or an in-game mod menu.

Install locations vary a lot between games and mods — the bundled readme is the most reliable guide.
