New features in version 2.1:

Version 2.1 brings some simple changes to the RLO and NonRLO versions of Ivy Shores Manor. These changes are as follows:

Replaced the Hearthfire upgrade button in the toolbox on the shelf in the forge. After activating this toolbox, a message box will pop up asking you if you want to activate the features required by the Hearthfire Multiple Adoptions mod. Select "Yes" to activate the feature, or "No" to perform no action. If you want to deactivate these features, apply the same process, except selecting "Yes" will deactivate these features.

Removed some redundant ceiling blocks on the second floor that were causing texture flickering. This change applies to both versions of the house.

"Window" was added to the large circular windows on the second floor as well as to the exterior of the house.

Make the fireplace in the main room switchable. Simply interact with the bellows sitting on the fireplace to turn the fire on or off. NOTE: Waves can be moved, whether by accident or design, but they work no matter where they are. It's kind of like a remote control for a fireplace. It wasn't intentional, but it was intentional.

The mod now includes a .bsa file that contains all mod scripts and the new window grid.

All storage is now safe, including the urns near the enchantment station.

Note: I attempted to add additional children's beds to the home but found that would require a major redesign of the guest/kids room. Therefore, this change is on hold for now.

New features in version 2.0:

Note: If updating from a previous version, be sure to make a clean save! If you don't do this, it can cause problems such as your horse not laying eggs in the stable and your children/spouse acting strangely outside.

Hearthfire multiple adoption compatibility:

Now you can move your spouse and two children to Ivy Shores Estates.

  • By default, the house is not ready for your family. To make the house compatible, go to the second floor and find the podium next to the large round window. On the base of the podium you will see a glass box with a button inside. Open the box and press the button. Now casts the "Blessed Home" spell obtained from the Hearthfire Multiple Adoption mode. You should receive a message in the upper left corner saying 2.000 beds were found. If you see this message, it means the house is now ready for your family.

Note: After building the house, it is recommended to close the box containing the button. If you press the button again, the house will revert to its default state; if your family is in the house at the time, it's possible to break its AI. I also recommend removing any weapons from the racks in the first floor attendant room before switching rooms, as these weapons may disappear.

  • After pressing the button, you should find that the follower room on the first floor has been converted into a children's room. You'll also notice a trap door in the storage room directly across from the children's room. This trap door leads to the new basement and new entourage quarters!

NOTE: Followers will not sandbox themselves into the basement. If you want your followers to spend the night in their room, you must take them there yourself and tell them to go into the sandbox there.

Ivy Shores Manor was born out of my desire for something that was both simple and functional for the real world. So many other gamer home mods look beautiful and feature tons of player conveniences, but don't feel too much like they are part of the Skyrim universe. My solution to this was to create the house using only vanilla assets and design it in a way that reflected the a …

Install & use Install: follow the bundled instructions

  1. Unzip the archive from playbuff and read the bundled readme / instructions first.
  2. There is no universal mod manager for this game: some mods replace game files directly, some go into a game-specific Mods folder, and some need a game-specific community loader or tool first — follow the bundled readme.
  3. Place the files exactly as the readme says; mods with listed dependencies need those installed too.
  4. Launch the game to confirm it loaded; some games require enabling mods in settings or an in-game mod menu.

Install locations vary a lot between games and mods — the bundled readme is the most reliable guide.
