About this mod Machine translation
In the original version of "The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim", items with different attributes would be merged into the same stack, causing a series of problems:
Quest Markers - Picking up an item with a quest mark will merge it with items of the same type you already own, making the entire stack undiscardable, unsellable, and unstorable. A well-known example is the Talos Amulet from the "Regaining Favor" quest.
Stolen status - Stolen and non-stolen items share the same stack, making them difficult to manage, store, and discard.
Collection/Equipment Status - There is no way to tell which copies in the stack are currently in collection or equipped status.
This plugin effectively solves the above problem by keeping each group in a separate slot. Supports all menu interfaces - inventory, trade, container, crafting, enchanting, alchemy, gifting, forging, collection.
The mod is fully configurable via .INI files.
If you like this mod, please don't forget to support it.
Configuration
Edit the ItemStackingTweaks.ini file to customize plugin behavior:
[Unstacking]
bUnstackStolen = true; Unstack stolen items
bUnstackQuest = true; Unstack items with quest markers
bUnstackFavorites = true; Unstack Favorites
bUnstackEquipped = true; detach currently equipped items
All options are enabled by default. Set any option to false to disable that specific detach feature.
FAQ
- Since "Split Mission Items" and "Split Stolen Items" have already been produced, why do we need to develop this plug-in?
I'd like to have a unified plugin that handles all stacking related functionality in one place, rather than making separate mods for each case. In addition, this plug-in also adds support for "Collection" and "Equipment" items, which were not covered by the old version of the mod. If you are already using those two mods at the same time, you can directly replace them with this plugin.
- What is the difference between the working principle of this plug-in and "Unbundling Mission Items" and "Unbundling Stolen Items"?
This plug-in was written from scratch and uses a completely different implementation. It uses simpler, cleaner hooks similar to the mechanics introduced in Unbundling Stolen Items v2, while also fixing game crashes (CTD) and item transfer issues that some users were experiencing when using those plugins.

Install & use Install: follow the bundled instructions
- Unzip the archive from playbuff and read the bundled readme / instructions first.
- There is no universal mod manager for this game: some mods replace game files directly, some go into a game-specific Mods folder, and some need a game-specific community loader or tool first — follow the bundled readme.
- Place the files exactly as the readme says; mods with listed dependencies need those installed too.
- Launch the game to confirm it loaded; some games require enabling mods in settings or an in-game mod menu.
Install locations vary a lot between games and mods — the bundled readme is the most reliable guide.
