About this mod Machine translation
This accessory for SmartBlueCat's amazing Inigo provides an extremely fun and useful whistle for the Inigo functionality dedicated to (configurable) keys. (SKSE64 required.)
Note: For Skyrim Special Edition, the additional functionality of the Inigo MCM mod is now built into the Inigo mod itself, and configuration options are available via console commands.
Version 1.2 ensures that invalid key selections (generation errors) are not registered. Now you can change the default code by editing the ESP file with SSEEdit (see second picture), but you will still need a key code number and the easiest way to find out is to use the console command to select a key and type "sqv InigoWhistleKey" to see what code is used.
There is now an alternative version that uses V as the default version instead of X.

In addition to the normal whistle functionality, if you use the hotkey while there is a chair in the crosshair, Inigo will see that you want him to sit down without having to manually activate the chair. (This is a very minor convenience, since you can get the same effect by looking down, whistling, and clicking on the chair.)
Change hotkeys
To change the key used, you will need to use the console command:
setpqv InigoWhistle key code 1
You will then be prompted to press the new key you want to use. Alternatively, if you know the specific scan code for a specific key, you can use that value instead of 1. (The X key is code 45.) You can also disable the hotkey entirely by passing code 0.
Potential Mod Conflicts
In addition to other SKSE mods that may use the same keys, you can remap the Whistle Hotkey and even disable it if you wish.

The Whistle Hotkey
The Whistle Hotkey (default of X) allows you to communicate with Inigo (after you've learned how to whistle to him) and still use your shouts and other powers without fear that you will forget to swap them back and accidentally Shout at someone when you meant to Whistle to Inigo.
In addition to the normal whistle features, if you use the hotkey while you have a chair in the crosshairs Inigo will see that you want him to sit down without you needing to manually activate the chair. (That's a very minor convenience because you can get the same effect from the whistle power by looking down, whistling, then clicking on the chair.)
Changing the Hotkey
To change the key used you will need to use the console command:
setpqv InigoWhistleKey code 1
You will then be prompted to press the new key you wish to use. Alternately if you know a particular scan code for a particular key you can use that value instead of 1. (The X key is code 45.) You can also completely disable the hotkey by passing a code of 0.
Potential Mod Conflicts
None other than other SKSE mods which might use the same key, but you can remap the Whistle Hotkey or even disable it if you like.
Install & use Install: follow the bundled instructions
- Unzip the archive from playbuff and read the bundled readme / instructions first.
- There is no universal mod manager for this game: some mods replace game files directly, some go into a game-specific Mods folder, and some need a game-specific community loader or tool first — follow the bundled readme.
- Place the files exactly as the readme says; mods with listed dependencies need those installed too.
- Launch the game to confirm it loaded; some games require enabling mods in settings or an in-game mod menu.
Install locations vary a lot between games and mods — the bundled readme is the most reliable guide.
