About this mod Machine translation
Overhaul every brutal artifact and some unique items to make them more valuable.
As you can guess from the title, this mod changes the effects of almost all brutal artifacts and a handful of unique items, making their effects more powerful or useful, and making weapon enchantments last forever. Level-adjusted unique items are now always available in the strongest variant. Below is a detailed list of changes and descriptions (if I don't list anything, it means I didn't touch it).
Projects over the years
All items have some changes, their value has been increased to 5000, and weapons no longer cost weapon costs. I also upgraded their stats to make them more suitable for difficult projects.
Dawnbreaker
DMG 12-> 15
Value 740->5000
Enchantment: 10 Fire, Explosion Chance -> 25 Fire, 25 Undead, Explosion Chance
I think it just needs a simple buff. The only decent thing about vanilla Daybreaker is the chance to cause an explosion, and even then it's not worth it so quickly.
ebony blade
DMG 11-> 20
Reach 1.0->1.3
Value 2000->5000
It is a great sword that you cannot sharpen, it is damaged by brutal daggers and the speed of the sword. What? The enchantment certainly helps a lot, but I gave it a little buff to damage and reach the target. It's still a bit weaker than the Noble Greatsword, but the enchantments should easily make up for that.
ebony mail
Armor 45->50
Weight 28->25
Just gave this little buff armor and lost a little weight, everything else is fine, imo.
Staff of Molag Bal
DMG 16
Weight 18->15
Speed 0.8->0.9
Value 210->5000
Ward: 25 stamina and magic damage, 3 seconds. Soul Trap -> 25 stamina and magic damage for 5 seconds. soul trap
To be honest, it's already pretty good, it's just a slight increase in speed and weight that makes it a little more attractive. I'm obsessed with enchantments purely because that 3 annoys me. 5 is much better :)
Clavicle poison mask
Weight 7->5
Value 150->5000
Ward: Barter +20%, Speech +10, Regenerative Magic +5% -> Barter +25%, Speech +25
Again, this is mostly fine, but the enchantments are confusing. What's the point of the extra 5% magicka regeneration? No seriously, is this even a substantial amount? Anyway, I ditched it to polish off the speaking bonus.
Melenice's razor
DMG 11-> 12
Weight 3->2.5
Critical hit 6->12
Speed 1.3
Value 500->5000
A small buff, a small weight reduction and a huge crit, purely because I felt it fit the razor theme.
Helsing's Ring
Value 400->5000
Ring of Namira
Stamina +50->Stamina +100, Stamina recovery +50%
This ring has served its purpose, but I'm not a fan of STAT's base +X, especially when the amounts are relatively small. So I doubled the base stamina bonus and gave you some extra stamina regeneration. Tell some people :)
evil ax
Damage 22->25
Speed 0.5->0.8
Value 500->5000
Enchantment: consumption of stamina 20-> consumption of stamina, Magicka reduced by 25
Well, I guess this isn't technically an age artifact, but it might be a bonus for age pursuits, so it adds to the buff. The ax is designed to tempt you into keeping it, but it's bloody horrific. Why did you choose vanilla Rueful Ax? So, after some enthusiasts, maybe now it's more tempting :)
skin of savior
Armor 26->40
Weight 6->5
Value 2000->5000
Enchantment: Resist magic 15%, Poison 50% -> Magic 25%, Resist disease and poisoning
Is this the best reward Lord Herzing can offer? I know it's basically fancy leather armor, but there's no reason to use it later (unless you really really need the extra 15% magic resistance). Now that it lasts longer, the enchantment buffs should make it helpful in the end game as well.
blood red rose
Value 2087->5000
Barrier summons Draco for 60 seconds -> Summons Draco for 300 seconds
Corrupted Skull
Value 1000->5000
The bars were already pretty good, so I left them as is (minus the rose's duration buff)
Curse Breaker
Armor 38->40
Weight 12->10
Value 225->5000
Enchantment: 50 points of guard -> 100 points of guard
Armor effects, weight reduction and guard str …
Install & use Install: follow the bundled instructions
- Unzip the archive from playbuff and read the bundled readme / instructions first.
- There is no universal mod manager for this game: some mods replace game files directly, some go into a game-specific Mods folder, and some need a game-specific community loader or tool first — follow the bundled readme.
- Place the files exactly as the readme says; mods with listed dependencies need those installed too.
- Launch the game to confirm it loaded; some games require enabling mods in settings or an in-game mod menu.
Install locations vary a lot between games and mods — the bundled readme is the most reliable guide.
