Robes, clothes and armor from Indoril, the great house, free and exquisite!

background:

Researching the colors of Dunmeri's big house, there seems to be a lack of information on Indoril (such as this discussion on GameSas.com). They consider white people here, but I can't find official sources proving this. Michael Butchin (who voiced and wrote some of the voices for Teryn Meru in my AnnaNPCs mod) said they might go with solid white for purity, and then he told me gold because it's the color of the Ordinator armor, so I decided to mix the two. Unfortunately, white is the most difficult color to work with b/c it's so bright unless you set the alpha correctly. I've done some things to lower the volume on it, but it's still a bit hard to play in there. Looks good in most indoor lights, but too bright in the sun.

These are made using vanilla meshes and textures and high resolution photos taken from silk fabrics (silk, brocade and velvet) via the internet to give it the look and feel of a rich wealthy home as they were in all their glory back then. I also discovered a new Indoril symbol with crossed wings on the banner on the lore page, which I changed to accentuate the style of the outfit.

Q: Can it be converted to a (fill in the blank) body?

A: Sorry, no. I had no idea how to transition between different body types and was too scared to learn. However, if anyone wants to convert, please do so. I'd love to host it here and take full credit for your conversion.

Question: Why don’t women have wings on their front sides?

Answer: In the _0 mesh, the wings were warping on the chest portion of the mesh, so I had to remove them >. <

Background:

Researching the colors of the Great Houses of the Dunmeri, there seems to scant information about Indoril (such as this discussion on GameSas.com).  Here they think white, but I could not find official sources to prove that.  Michael Butchin (who voices and wrote some for Teryn Meru in my AnnaNPCs mod) said they probably chose white for purity, and then he told me gold since it’s the color of the Ordinator armor, so I decided on a mix of both.  Unfortunately, white is the most difficult color to work with b/c it’s so bright unless you get the alpha right.  I've done a few things to tone it down, but still playing touchy-feely there.  It looks fine in most indoor lights, only too bright in the sun.

These are made using the vanilla mesh and texture, and hi-res photos of real fabric from the internet: silk, damask, and velvet, to give the look and feel of a rich well-to-do House, as in their days of glory.  I also found the new Indoril symbol of crossed wings on a banner on a lore page, which I altered to accent the outfit.

Q: Can you convert this to (fill-in-the-blank) body??

A: Sorry, no.  I don't know how to convert different body types and am too intimidated to learn.  But if someone wants to make a conversion please do so.  I would be happy to host it her …

Install & use Install: follow the bundled instructions

  1. Unzip the archive from playbuff and read the bundled readme / instructions first.
  2. There is no universal mod manager for this game: some mods replace game files directly, some go into a game-specific Mods folder, and some need a game-specific community loader or tool first — follow the bundled readme.
  3. Place the files exactly as the readme says; mods with listed dependencies need those installed too.
  4. Launch the game to confirm it loaded; some games require enabling mods in settings or an in-game mod menu.

Install locations vary a lot between games and mods — the bundled readme is the most reliable guide.
