Skyrim LE version
As a premise for this mod, I guess I should say that this is something I've wanted since I started playing Skyrim in November 2013. Two years ago I tried it out using spliced audio from the FemaleEvenToned speech files that come with the base game. Basically what it sounded like was a meme, and about a month later I pulled it off, so now, after almost 7 years of playing this twisted nightmare/video game paradise, I think I finally made the Skyrim mod I've always wanted:
Bored Lydia.
The first time I played the game, she stalked me until I completed the main mission, and it's become a tradition for me since then. Even in Skyrim's Amorous Adventures game, where to this day I have nightmares with "Fortunate Son" as its soundtrack, I managed to complete her (very strange) romantic journey in sync with the main quest. At one point I realized that maybe I could do this Serana Dialogue Edit style and add some lines that wouldn't require too much splicing. Then I came to the final conclusion: the only way to make a mod like this one was to re-voice Lydia from scratch.
The audio is a bit noisy, you may want to turn it on. Shadow puppets hate me.
Additionally, the actress who plays the voice of Lydia in it also has a YouTube channel. If you would like to hear more of her work, click this link.
After installing this mod, Lydia will not only have new voices, but she will also:
- Initiate a conversation with you when completing the main quest line. Therefore, it is highly recommended that you recruit Lydia the moment you unlock her as a companion and stay with her until you return from Sovngarde.
- Leave a comment on the Companions, Civil War, Academy of Winterhold, and Raven Rock quest lines if spoken to. She only has one comment on the Dawnguard questline, because it's for Serana.
- Feel free to comment on her and the player's locations, the armor given to you when traveling around the world, etc.
- Start a short conversation with Serana, Lioness Mjoll and Erandur.
- Conversations with you as you progress through the Dragonborn quest line.
- A brief romance check is required on the main quest line before getting married (again, keep her there throughout the main quest)
For the main quest, Lydia will have a full conversation if:

Planned features for this mod include:
- Comments on player skills
- Comments on previous missions after returning to certain areas
- If the player's heavy armor skill is lower than her heavy armor skill, she may be asked to help adjust their armor plates, which will bring their heavy armor skill up to her level in a short period of time
- I did the same thing but with Eric the Killer, expressed by myself or my brother TheMayor897

Frequently Asked Questions:
Q: You already have a very interesting reputation when it comes to mission modules. Is this as creepy as Outcast Hollow or Last Refuge?
A: I doubt it. To be honest, I just started Jurgen Windcaller in a recent walkthrough and haven't fully tested the mod yet, but considering the only scripted functionality in it is mission phase updates and global variable changes, it should work significantly better than either one.
Q: Why is it called a quest mod when it's obviously not a quest mod reeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee
A: Sorry, I've developed this trend because all dialogue in Skyrim has to be attached to a quest record in the Creation Kit.
Q: Why is there a file outside of .bsa?
A: Had to fix a bug and didn't want to repackage the .bsa as I had already repackaged it once and doing so made the mod's .esp disappear from my Skyrim\Data folder.
Q: Is the mod compatible with AlternativeToSimping69's Ultimate Lydia Big Tiddies + Suspicious Young Faces preset?
A: You will have to patch it yourself in xEdit for this, as this mod edits …
Install & use Install: follow the bundled instructions
- Unzip the archive from playbuff and read the bundled readme / instructions first.
- There is no universal mod manager for this game: some mods replace game files directly, some go into a game-specific Mods folder, and some need a game-specific community loader or tool first — follow the bundled readme.
- Place the files exactly as the readme says; mods with listed dependencies need those installed too.
- Launch the game to confirm it loaded; some games require enabling mods in settings or an in-game mod menu.
Install locations vary a lot between games and mods — the bundled readme is the most reliable guide.
