Greetings DOVAH
This mod redesigns the movements of players, NPCs, animals, and creatures to make Skyrim feel more believable, realistic, and immersive.
Most changes are for realism, some for a little extra challenge, and some inspired by lore.
Importantly, this mod will drop into your current load order effortlessly.
Who is this MOD?
Players who prefer game mechanics that lean more towards realism will really appreciate the different experiences this mod offers.
The pacing is more realistic, so you may find yourself in a different situation than before.
If you think this might not be your cup of tea, I recommend you at least give it a try, especially since you can safely install or uninstall this mod at any time without any side effects.
humanoid robot
Humans (and humanoids) move much slower, and different types of weapons further affect mobility.
Sneaking is slower, strafing is slower, and almost every bit of movement counts.
You really feel like a human being with weight and momentum, rather than an arcadey camera zooming from corner to corner like a superhero.
Two-handed weapons, such as greatswords and battle axes, are relatively heavy and will affect your ability to move in combat.
One-handed weapons are less tight, followed by smaller weapons like daggers, and finally bows.
Your ability to move while your arrow is pulling (aiming) is reduced, so depending on factors like difficulty settings or other modes, tactical positioning may actually be a thing now.
Casting magic has almost no effect on movement, in case you were wondering, but keep in mind that unlike vanilla movement, running backwards and strafing is much slower than filling up with your enemies.
Last but definitely not least, you are no longer an Olympic swimmer.
Of course, all of the above applies to NPCs as well.
animal
Animal movements have been redesigned to actually move like they should.
Wild animals like Saber Cats, wolves, bears, etc. are now much faster.
Horses were now more useful since hiking was not a reasonable method for long distance travel.
Their sprinting and galloping speeds increased significantly.
Additionally, since they are Skyrim horses and not just traditional horses, the turning and overall responsiveness are still better than vanilla horses.
Of course, all other animals have changed in the same way.
biology
Draugr are now slightly slower in the dusty old tombs over the years but over time they have learned to master handling their weapons so the weight barely affects them.
The ancient Lost Mer, known as the Dwemer or "Dwarves" to the people of Skyrim, are a fascinating race whose creations have been timeless.
Dwemer Automatons are now fast and agile, so be well equipped and be alert before entering their ruins.
Vampires are quick and deadly.
The werewolf propels itself to very high speeds in a straight line.
Daedras and Atronachs move more quickly and fluidly.
Other creatures such as trolls, sailors, spiders, etc. have also been redesigned.
compatibility
This mod aims to be as compatible as possible.
The least is used to change the most.
Only "movement_types" are changed, so it's compatible with almost every mod unless they specifically change that category as well.
If you suspect a mod might be overriding something this mod does, just put this mod after them (below) and everything should work perfectly.
Feel free (and I encourage you) to stack this mod with others to maximize your gaming experience.
Nothing in this mod will break, corrupt or delay saves in any way.
Don't hesitate to install or uninstall at any time.

Install & use Install: follow the bundled instructions
- Unzip the archive from playbuff and read the bundled readme / instructions first.
- There is no universal mod manager for this game: some mods replace game files directly, some go into a game-specific Mods folder, and some need a game-specific community loader or tool first — follow the bundled readme.
- Place the files exactly as the readme says; mods with listed dependencies need those installed too.
- Launch the game to confirm it loaded; some games require enabling mods in settings or an in-game mod menu.
Install locations vary a lot between games and mods — the bundled readme is the most reliable guide.
