About this mod Machine translation

This mod is similar to my "Portable Storage" mod, but this time I made it more immersive and tried to make it very user-friendly! This mod adds a gem that acts as portable storage and can be upgraded to store more.

The starting load capacity of gems is 300. Gems can be upgraded by "Storing Gem Fragments" by talking to Nelacar in the Frozen Hearth in Winterhold. Storage Gem fragments can be found throughout Skyrim, each fragment will increase the load capacity by 100.

To obtain the Storage Gem, you must first read a letter from the Sleeping Giant Inn in Riverwood. The letter is a flyer from Nelacar and it's on the fireplace when you first walk in. This will start a quest to obtain gems. You can also find the guide "A Guide to Storing Gemstones" in Nelacar's bookcase.

This mod will not transfer items from old GEM, clear GEM before installation to avoid losing items

(Note: Completely uninstall old mods before installing!)

If installing manually:

Navigate to your Skyrim installation directory.

Drag the contents of the .rar into the Data folder.

If using Mod Loader:

Installation is fine, there should be no overwriting (really don't know why there is that lol).

The mod can be placed anywhere in the order, it doesn't matter.

If you add or remove items too quickly, the display of gems may become inaccurate.

The stone will continue to function normally, it is just that the weight display will no longer be accurate.

To fix this, clear the gems and re-add the item, but it will be slower.

Sometimes gems decide to be stubborn and not open up.

If this happens, simply close and reopen your inventory.

If you wish to add any item via console command, these are the IDs:

Storage gem: XX000D6D

Storage gem fragment: XX000D6A

Nelacar's flyer: XX0012E4

Guide to Storing Gemstones: XX0012F2

Your actual portable storage - To select, use: prid XX000D65

The position of "XX" in the mod order:

Install & use Install: follow the bundled instructions

  1. Unzip the archive from playbuff and read the bundled readme / instructions first.
  2. There is no universal mod manager for this game: some mods replace game files directly, some go into a game-specific Mods folder, and some need a game-specific community loader or tool first — follow the bundled readme.
  3. Place the files exactly as the readme says; mods with listed dependencies need those installed too.
  4. Launch the game to confirm it loaded; some games require enabling mods in settings or an in-game mod menu.

Install locations vary a lot between games and mods — the bundled readme is the most reliable guide.
