Motivation and disclaimer!
Hello everyone, first of all, this mod is not my creation, I am just an uploader. I decided to convert this mod on SSE because I think it's the best border mod on skyrim. I now somone have ported the mod, but this version was abandoned and the patch has never been ported before. If the original author wants the file removed, then I will put it down without question! Original mod is here
small description
If you're like me, you've probably noticed that Skyrim, despite having a massive civil war, is content with having unguarded borders. The model adds towers and guards to the main road at the edge of the reserve.

Updates and new features added from consistency patches
Updated all border guards to have consistent behavior, including changes to civil wars.
As the war progresses and more forts come under the control of any faction, guarding of the borders will increase.
Imperial or Stormcloak banners at borders indicate which faction controls an army's military garrison.
If the holding fort is not under the same control as the holding itself, you may see new battles at the borders.
All border gates are now open by default, and any stockade gates have been removed (due to being too narrow).
Updated the layout of many border outposts:
Moved the southern Reach border gate a few blocks west so the Falkreath royal camp isn't skewed wrong and makes it even more spectacular.
Moved Winterhold's border gate closer to Castav's Keep, so it's more defensive and you can't easily bypass it from the east.
Added banners at the South West Whiterun border gate and North Reach border camp.
Removed the fallen tree at the western border gate of Hjaalmarch, and moved the stockade back to the conflict via mods that added the location of the "Southern Dragon Bridge".
New in 1.1.0: Completely redesigned the western Hjaalmarch border so it no longer conflicts with the "Southern Dragon Bridge" location module.
The Hjaalmarch eastern border outpost wall has been redesigned.
Added a stockade tower to the eastern border of Whiterun.
Replaced the Whiterun Wall on the western border of the Rift with the Riften Wall.
The exterior of Whitewatch Tower was extended to create a northern Whiterun border post.
Demolish the Northeast Rift Border Outpost; this route is already covered by Shor's Watchtower.
A footpath has been added to the main road next to Shor's Watchtower.
A (fully trawled) route is added at the top of the gates to the north and east of Falkreath, the tower at the northern outpost of the Reach and the tower at the Pale Pale camp.
Added three new boundary gates to Eastmarsh which otherwise had unguarded borders:
West of Amorburg: White River Border
The Mills of Eastern Anga: Yorgrim River Boundary
Cragslane Caverns West: Cragslane Frontier (repurposing assets from Northeast Rift Frontier Outpost)
Renamed all border gates to make their naming style consistent. (reserved name - boundary name)
Changed the map marker icon from that of a house to an unused vanilla marker that looks more like a door (Morthal Castle).
Make sure all border stops are map marked, not just some of them.
Changed unit IDs for easier identification in CK and console. (Each is a HoldBorder<Hold><Direction>, such as HoldBorderFalkreathEast or HoldBorderReachNorth.)
The 3 no longer needed navmeshes belonging to the original mod file were reduced to 1 triangle and sent underground.
Corrected grammar and spelling in Guard Deployment Notices (most are now also called Guard Deployment Notices), each one is now signed by a senior official of the Jarl Court.
Added border camps near provincial borders …
Install & use Install: follow the bundled instructions
- Unzip the archive from playbuff and read the bundled readme / instructions first.
- There is no universal mod manager for this game: some mods replace game files directly, some go into a game-specific Mods folder, and some need a game-specific community loader or tool first — follow the bundled readme.
- Place the files exactly as the readme says; mods with listed dependencies need those installed too.
- Launch the game to confirm it loaded; some games require enabling mods in settings or an in-game mod menu.
Install locations vary a lot between games and mods — the bundled readme is the most reliable guide.
