Huntborn - Vampire's Animal Blood Potion

Using vanilla and ingredients harvested by Hunterborn SE, this mod allows your hunter vampire to craft animal blood potions and raw meat meal at the cooker. No more excursions into town for food.

Were you a wilderness expert and hunter before that unfortunate incident with the vampire, and had no reason to change your lifestyle and livelihood just because you were now undead?

Are you a non-vampire who is magically different from any other type of blood and crave variety in your diet?

Maybe your vampire simply doesn't want to prey on humans for any reason and needs another lifestyle choice?

Or maybe you're an adventurous vampire who doesn't want to get close to any bandits' necks without taking a shower first and would like an alternative way to survive?

This mod allows you to craft animal blood potions and raw meat powder on a vampire's cooker using animal hearts and meat added by Hunterborn.

Combine blood potions to create stronger versions with better healing and greater potency; or mix them with various alchemical reagents for additional or stronger properties. The blood potion recipe is hidden unless you have a heart or two blood potions of the same type that are present in the other categories. Hide raw meat meals unless you have raw meat in your inventory.

For a survival game, animal meat can satisfy your bloodlust, giving you 50 blood points if you use a better vampire with blood points enabled. They may even provide minor healing over time, or they may replenish stamina over time.

Version 1.5 warning: In the latest version I removed the venison tart and mammoth. If you have them in your inventory, use them before upgrading or they will disappear.

Require

File requires Hunterborn SE, Dawnguard and Dragonborn DLC!

Install

Use the Mod Manager to upload and activate, then use LOOT to sort the load order. Manually extract the .esp file into the Skyrim Special Edition\Data folder.

uninstall

Just delete the file, it doesn't contain any scripts.

compatibility

Compatible with any mod that does not change Hunter Bone Meat or Vanilla Meat records, otherwise you will lose the blood saturation effect.

Recommendations

Better Vampires - Choose to become a vampire over time rather than requiring you to ingest human blood.

Campfire - Allows you to light a fire and set up a cooking pot in the wild.

iNeed - Allows you to customize your vampire's needs. I personally attend to the needs of mortals, which can make blood potions and raw food satisfy hunger and fatigue. It also lets you set up raw meals (either as a soup if you think of soups as swimming in your blood, satisfying feelings of hunger, fatigue, and thirst, or as a heavy meal if you find them to be much thicker in consistency. In either case, I would go with the perishables because they are raw and need to be eaten immediately after being made.)

The Islands - New World mod allows you to take turns stranded on an island, or end up stranded on an island after an ill-fated voyage from the Dawn Star. Confused by a vampire attack that causes a shipwreck, you become infected with the Sanguinare Vampiris. There is no cure for your disease, and you must immediately try to survive and cope with your transformation into the undead. On this desolate island, your new thirst for blood will be an additional challenge that you must overcome to find your way back to Skyrim.
