Multifunctional hotkey mode…

What's going on?

Multifunctional hotkey mode. The following hotkeys have been imported: Torch hotkey, Remove spelling hotkey, Instant exit hotkey, Toggle menu hotkey (hide UI), Unswap all combat equipment hotkeys or only left/right hand, Toggle subtitles hotkey, 8 spelling hotkeys, 6 shouting hotkeys, and 6 power hotkeys.

Install?

Please use mod organizer 2 and don't look back... I think you know what to do?

How do you account for this convenience?

With the power of skse64 and skui!

How does it work?

Torch Hong Kong: Cars with Torch, or any third party in stock

Remove spell/shout/strength: select in menu and hit hotkey -> Done

Exit immediately: You'd like me to guess... :D

Toggle UI: Basically equivalent to a console command. It will toggle all UI elements, so all menus will be hidden as well.

unequip hotkey: press the main function hotkey, press and hold the secondary function hotkey

Toggle subtitles: you will be notified

Hotkeys for Spells/Cries/Powers: In menu -> select your spell and press the correct hotkey to assign; outside menu -> press equip, hold to unequip

Are there any restrictions?

right. Some features cannot be removed when using the Remove Spelling hotkey. In fact, it's hardcoded in such a way that not even a .dll plugin can remove it. Don't ask me why, I really don't understand. Most racial powers are affected.

Also, if you delete these spells etc., they are gone forever. You can relearn them through spellbooks, but that's not true for Shout and Power. You delete them and that's it, so be careful what you do.

But this will not include custom content, from custom mode, with custom support for my custom super duper custom built computer game?

Subject to availability. This is true in most cases due to the use of form lists, keywords, and object types. This covers most of what's available. However, if you want a specific hotkey, just make a request. It’s worth mentioning that I declined. Also, make sure there isn't a mod on there yet that fulfills your request, as I'm unlikely to import that function, especially if I don't use it in my own game.

Are there any bugs?

I have no idea. Even key spam. Also, the mod is like 4-5 years old and while there are still some things slipping in between, I'm very strict about quality assurance. Unfortunately, I don't know what other users do in their games. So please feel free to report any issues. I myself would like to have a 100% defect-free model.

Wait, isn't that part of your transformation of the legendary sky ring?

That's true. In Legendary Skyrim, there are different reasons for combining functions into a plugin. In the Special Edition, this is no longer true, as the engine is more powerful and the limitations of plug-ins virtually disappear. Single mods are easier to develop, easier to track bugs, and they provide more options. Additionally, I'm also in the process of rebuilding the overhaul with a more modular approach in mind, as well as stripping out functionality that is covered in a better way by the new mod. To do this, I need to outsource a lot of functionality. So keep your eyes open for more single-purpose models.

FAQ

Could you please describe it in detail?

I don't know what else to say. If you don't have any questions, I think everything will suit your needs.

Will these work with Xbox 360?

Not provided to keep the code count low since I'm using blending controls, which basically adds support for this mod as well.

However, this may change in the future if you enforce enough requests.

Is there localization support?

Most of it is covered, but there are some tricky issues that I can't figure out. This may have something to do with an skse plugin I'm using, so I'm not 100% sure if it's just me being silly. So there are still parts that need to be translated directly in the script. The source files are available in .bsa as always. You can use AT however you like.

Install & use Install: follow the bundled instructions

  1. Unzip the archive from playbuff and read the bundled readme / instructions first.
  2. There is no universal mod manager for this game: some mods replace game files directly, some go into a game-specific Mods folder, and some need a game-specific community loader or tool first — follow the bundled readme.
  3. Place the files exactly as the readme says; mods with listed dependencies need those installed too.
  4. Launch the game to confirm it loaded; some games require enabling mods in settings or an in-game mod menu.

Install locations vary a lot between games and mods — the bundled readme is the most reliable guide.
