About this mod Machine translation

Hope's Abandon is a huge dungeon filled with challenging puzzles, traps, and encounters. It has a custom boss and a follower. Recommended level 40+.

A group of powerful creatures creates a challenge that attracts and kills all would-be heroes of Skyrim. A custom boss and retinue awaits at Hope's Abandon near the Gjukar Monument (west of Whiterun). This dungeon is designed for single player play. If you can get past the first room, then you should be able to take it to the boss.

Boss; however, it is designed to be a challenge on any level as she is flat and will always be tough. I would recommend reaching at least level 40 to fight her, as she has many of the same skills and perks your character might have. (Bring your potions!)

Hopefully Abandon is not a hack and slash dungeon and minions will mostly block your way or triggers that may be activated early. There are traps and puzzles, and I put a lot of thought into the visuals and atmosphere of an old school dungeon crawl. It's a nav grid, but some of it is not controlling the NPC's position and behavior. If you plan on using them, make sure you can summon fans. All area doors and encounter areas have navmesh so your followers will be distinct from you no matter what. I suggest you wait until the last room to enter the battle.

The room with the followers is accessible from inside the main entrance after defeating the boss, and has a few things you might like. I put quite a few idle tokens in it, so if you're like me and sometimes just want to unleash your minions and watch, this room is a fun place to be. This room has no respawns, so it's safe for storage.

**Version 1.1 changed the entire dungeon to have no reset cells in case you have instant cell reset errors. See the changelog for details. If you want a rebirth, version 1.0 still exists.

All scripts are trigger based.

One in particular uses NMM to install.

*Please note that the bosses in SSE are Vanilla assets and do not look like them in the video. Even though I try to keep the same feeling. See images of her new look.

Dungeon Cave of the Oblivion

Install & use Install: follow the bundled instructions

  1. Unzip the archive from playbuff and read the bundled readme / instructions first.
  2. There is no universal mod manager for this game: some mods replace game files directly, some go into a game-specific Mods folder, and some need a game-specific community loader or tool first — follow the bundled readme.
  3. Place the files exactly as the readme says; mods with listed dependencies need those installed too.
  4. Launch the game to confirm it loaded; some games require enabling mods in settings or an in-game mod menu.

Install locations vary a lot between games and mods — the bundled readme is the most reliable guide.
