About this mod Machine translation
Fix vanilla bug where your spouse will stop providing daily meals.
Isn't that what disappointing married life is all about in Skyrim? Has your spouse gone from being the most loving supportive NPC in Tamriel to being the uncaring heartless roommate? This mod might be for you!
After years of searching the internet for a solution to the infamous homemade meal, or at least an explanation of what causes it, I decided to create a lightweight solution. It works by creating a copy of the original conversation response and pointing the conversation topic to the new response instead of the old one.
feature
-ESP files marked as ESL
-Carry over the USSEP fix, but don't need it as a master file
-Work on saves with errors, work on saves without errors. (Although there are no bugs, it's not worth the special installation)
Notice
Since I don't know exactly what triggers the error in vanilla dialogue, I can't guarantee that this mod won't emit the error in exactly the same way. After some Google research and over 1,000 hours of testing, it seems like it might be linked to the Spouse Store in some way. Maybe it’s a conversation, maybe it’s selling something specific. No real idea though. So it's a simple job to get your spouse cooking again.
Thanks.

Disappointed married life in Skyrim isn't all it's cracked up to be? Did your spouse go from being the most caring supportive npc in Tamriel to an unconcerned heartless roommate? This mod may be for you!
After searching the internets for years searching for a solution to the infamous homecooked meal bug or at least an explanation as to what causes it, I've decided to create a lightweight work around. It works by creating a carbon copy of the original dialogue responses and points the dialogue topic to the new responses instead of the broken old ones.
Features
- ESP file flagged as ESL
- Carries forward the USSEP fixes but does not require it as a master
- Works on saves with the bug and on saves without it. (Although not particularly worth installing if you don't have the bug)
NOTE
As I have no idea what exactly triggers the bug in the vanilla dialogue, I cannot promise that this mod will not bug out in the exact same way. From google research and 1000+ hours of testing, it does seem like it may be linked to the spouse store somehow. Perhaps dialogue, perhaps selling specific things. No real idea though. So this is a simple work around to get the spouse cooking again.
Thank you.

Install & use Install: follow the bundled instructions
- Unzip the archive from playbuff and read the bundled readme / instructions first.
- There is no universal mod manager for this game: some mods replace game files directly, some go into a game-specific Mods folder, and some need a game-specific community loader or tool first — follow the bundled readme.
- Place the files exactly as the readme says; mods with listed dependencies need those installed too.
- Launch the game to confirm it loaded; some games require enabling mods in settings or an in-game mod menu.
Install locations vary a lot between games and mods — the bundled readme is the most reliable guide.
