Upgraded Hjerim TNF can put 6 children to sleep

Upgrade Hjerim TNF to include 6 children's beds.

To get the most out of it, you'll need TMPhoenix's Multitple Adoptions Mod. Without it it is still usable but can only sleep 2 children. A fire is needed.

The upgrade is designed to be as compatible as possible with Hjerim TNF. The forge has been moved to a separate basement area.

Just like the vanilla game, upgrades can be purchased from Jorleif/in the King's Palace.

Installation instructions

Remove all valuable items from Hjerim. This mod makes very extensive changes to the house and you won't lose anything of value. If you can't take it with you, open the console and type "TGM".

Save at this point and keep it safe somewhere. I call it "before you screw up" saving.

If you didn't buy any upgrades for your home at all, you can just install the mod and buy those upgrades.

If you have purchased Hjerim’s upgrade program, special instructions are required:

 • Move your children and spouse from Hjerim to another house and check if they have moved there. When you install modules, they must not be resident, otherwise problems may occur. Make sure you are not within Hjerim, and
 • Save and exit

If installed, uninstall the original version of Hjerim TNF or any other mod that modifies Hjerim's internals, otherwise you won't be able to run both mods at the same time!

 • Install this mod.
 • Go to an internal unit other than Hjerim, such as Candlehearth Hall down the road, and open the PC console inside and type the following command:

printed circuit board

Reset internal wind

 • Save the game now and
 • Exit.
 • Head to Hjerim, everything should be new and in place. For all inconveniences not mentioned in the "F.A.Q's/Known Issues" section below, reload the save you made earlier in 5), then type the previous console command, then save and exit again. Then buy the upgrade again. Do not use "markfordelete" on any objects, this command will delete them completely, if you uninstall this mod you will be missing content etc.
 • You are fine.

Save at this time and keep it safe. I call it "before you screw up" saving.

 • Remove all items you want to keep from the room and its boxes. If you can't use them all, use the console command "TGM".
 • Move your children and spouse from Hjerim to another house and check if they have moved there. When you remove mods they must not persist or problems may occur. Make sure you are not within Hjerim, and
 • Save the game and
 • Exit.
 • Disable/remove mods from your mod list
 • Go to an internal unit (not Hjerim), such as Candlehearth Hall opposite, and open the PC console inside and type the following command:

printed circuit board

Reset internal wind

 • Save the game now and
 • Exit.
 • Restart the game, go to Hjerim and everything should be back to how it was before. If anything goes wrong, reload the save you made earlier in 7) and type the previous console command again, then save and exit again. Do not use "markfordelete" on any objects, they are default Hjerim objects, this command will remove them completely, if you uninstall this mod you will be missing objects etc.

F.A.Q Questions/Known Issues

Q: Help! I have candles or something floating in the air! ! !

A: If there is a conflict with another mod, please put this mod at the bottom of the load order (bottom of the mod list).

Q: Help! I followed your instructions, but something went wrong and everything got messed up! what do I do?

Answer: OK, are you sure you haven't encountered any of the above problems? Okay, don't worry, reload "I messed up before", save what you did before, and try again. Don't skip any steps.

Q: Floors/walls/portions of my house disappear when I move around! When I go to that part of the house, they reappear! What's going on? !

A: Another mod is adding occlusion planes to Hjerim. The usual culprit is Skyrim project optimization. …

Install & use Install: follow the bundled instructions

 1. Unzip the archive from playbuff and read the bundled readme / instructions first.
 2. There is no universal mod manager for this game: some mods replace game files directly, some go into a game-specific Mods folder, and some need a game-specific community loader or tool first — follow the bundled readme.
 3. Place the files exactly as the readme says; mods with listed dependencies need those installed too.
 4. Launch the game to confirm it loaded; some games require enabling mods in settings or an in-game mod menu.

Install locations vary a lot between games and mods — the bundled readme is the most reliable guide.
