Hit frame for re-hit
Have you ever felt like an enemy attack hit you faster than the animation suggested? That's because they do. This has bothered me since the game was released in 2011, and the timed blocking mod was introduced soon after, which made some things even more obvious. This mod aims to solve this problem.
About this mod Machine translation
Have you ever felt like an enemy attack hit you faster than the animation suggested? That's because they do. This has bothered me since the game was released in 2011, and the timed blocking mod was introduced soon after, which made some things even more obvious. This mod aims to solve this problem.
This mod does not change animations. All it does is change the moment the attack connects.
The first version only covered two attacks from one class of weapons: basic right/left attacks with one-handed weapons. It didn't change the timing of the first person swing because they weren't looking at me.
Are there any other attacks that should be retimed? Please let me know via comments.
Install:
This is a simple asset substitution model. Install using mod manager.
compatibility:
This mod replaces 1hm_behavior.hkx. It will conflict with any mod that has its own version of this file. The ultimate battle is an example of this.

Install & use Install: follow the bundled instructions
- Unzip the archive from playbuff and read the bundled readme / instructions first.
- There is no universal mod manager for this game: some mods replace game files directly, some go into a game-specific Mods folder, and some need a game-specific community loader or tool first — follow the bundled readme.
- Place the files exactly as the readme says; mods with listed dependencies need those installed too.
- Launch the game to confirm it loaded; some games require enabling mods in settings or an in-game mod menu.
Install locations vary a lot between games and mods — the bundled readme is the most reliable guide.
