About this mod Machine translation
Replace low-resolution VR map markers with high-resolution VR markers.
Source language: English 1738/5000Namaste,
Vanilla map markers in Skyrim VR are of low quality. This is especially noticeable when you hover and zoom in. This is a high resolution version of the map marker. It will make the mark look less blurry and jagged.

To be clear, I'm not creating new map markers. These are the same icons. All I did was extract 800% high-end vector icons from the VR HMD flash files and align them onto 4K sized texture files. It's not perfect, but it's better than the 1K version we were given.
Since then, I've made two versions: the standard version and the outline version.
The way Bethesda designed standards is standards.
Add an 8 pixel border to the outline.
Note that the outline version has the edges rounded for a smoother look. Therefore, I had to make each icon smaller by 5% to accommodate the added pixels. The outline icon will only appear on the map, not the HUD compass.
This won't work with mods tagged with colormaps, since it uses the same files.

You don't need to do anything in the game. If it's installed correctly, just open the map and see if the fidelity of the markers has improved.

Click the File tab. The first version proposed was the standard version. If you want to use the OUTLINE version, it is located below the main file.
Install using Vortex or Mod Organizer 2.

Q&A session
==========
Q: Will this work with SE/Oldrim?
Answer: No. VR only.
Q: Someone gave me the color map markers for VD, is this just the uncolored version?
A: No!该mod给安全的地方着色,并更改了一些分配的图标-这是完全不同的mod。我需要做的就是使用这些图标进行更新,并使用色盲版本在上发布。 ——————————————————————————————————————————————————————————————

Since I was at it… I made two versions: STANDARD and OUTLINE.
STANDARD is the way Bethesda designed them.
OUTLINE adds an 8 pixel border.

This will not work with mods that color map markers because it uses the same file.

Q&A
==========
Q: Will this work with SE / Oldrim?
A: No. It's VR only.
Q: Someone gave me VD’s Colored Map Markers, is this just the uncolored version?
A: No! That mod colored safe places to visit and changed some assigned icons - it's a totally different mod. Updating it with these icons and posting with a colorblind version is on my things to do.
Install & use Install: follow the bundled instructions
- Unzip the archive from playbuff and read the bundled readme / instructions first.
- There is no universal mod manager for this game: some mods replace game files directly, some go into a game-specific Mods folder, and some need a game-specific community loader or tool first — follow the bundled readme.
- Place the files exactly as the readme says; mods with listed dependencies need those installed too.
- Launch the game to confirm it loaded; some games require enabling mods in settings or an in-game mod menu.
Install locations vary a lot between games and mods — the bundled readme is the most reliable guide.
