"Well, there are the occasional wolves or strays, but that's what I've had to deal with. Shouldn't be a problem for the likes of you"
(Klimmek)
Yeah, right...the moment you put your foot on the road, you'll be greeted by a giant bear or a spider (he always kills Narfi in my games whenever I enter Ivarstead). That's Ice Wraith. Then it's a sabrecat. And finally - a giant troll. Klimmek, is this a prank? Which one is WFT?
When you return to him, he gives you a pile of gold, making you wonder what kind of stuff you were really smuggling into his high-level Hrothgar.
It’s time to cut through all the bullshit. What does this mod do
- Remove animal strains in the first step.
- Remove random spawns and place real wolves in the same places, adjusted in some way so that they (hopefully) don't attack anyone you meet near the first inscription.
- Delete that stupid out-of-touch troll
- Set Klimmek’s rewards to a more reasonable level. After all, you did a small favor to a villager - not slaying a dragon that was harassing the resident, but not smuggling a chest full of double steam to a bunch of hippies... hopefully.

Yeah, right... the moment you place your foot on the path, you are greeted by a huge bear or a spider (the one who always kills Narfi in my game every time I enter Ivarstead). Then it's Ice Wraith. Then it's a sabrecat. And finally - a huge troll. Was it some kind of a practical joke, Klimmek? WFT is that?
And when you return to him, he gives you a pile of gold, making you wondering what kind of stuff you've just really smuggled for him to High Hrothgar.
It's time to fix all that nonsense. What this mod does is
- Removes the animal spawn at the first steps.
- Removes random spawns and places real wolves instead at the same places, tweaked in a way so they (hopefully) won't attack the person you meet near the first inscription.
- Removes that stupid out-of-place troll
- Sets Klimmek's reward to a much more sensible level. You've done a small favor to a village person, after all - not killed a dragon who was harassing a hold, not smuggled a box full of double-distilled skooma to a group of hippies... hopefully.
Install & use Install: follow the bundled instructions
- Unzip the archive from playbuff and read the bundled readme / instructions first.
- There is no universal mod manager for this game: some mods replace game files directly, some go into a game-specific Mods folder, and some need a game-specific community loader or tool first — follow the bundled readme.
- Place the files exactly as the readme says; mods with listed dependencies need those installed too.
- Launch the game to confirm it loaded; some games require enabling mods in settings or an in-game mod menu.
Install locations vary a lot between games and mods — the bundled readme is the most reliable guide.
