About this mod Machine translation

A small, very friendly add-on for High Hrothgar for survival/demand mode users.

Oldrim Edition: High Hrothgar Kitchen

Inspired by mods such as Kursan's Mages Kitchen and High Hrothgar Shelter, this mod adds an extra space that connects High Hrothgar Monastery to a small natural cave beneath the mountainside. This is the Greybeards' kitchen where they store food and cook their meals. A spring at the back of the cave serves as a water source.

For users in survival/demand mode, the kitchen space provides a basic area where dragons and followers can eat, sleep, fill water, and bathe. Although all other containers are spawned, there are two non-spawn crates for safe storage. Includes cooking spit and bread oven from Hearthfires, but no other crafting stations. The kitchen is meant to fit in with the rest of High Hrothgar, rather than as the player's home. I used it for myself because I was starting to build a permanent campsite in a corner of the monastery and I wanted a less obtrusive way of serving the same few functions.

The door is located on the right side of the main hall, not far from the dining area. The items inside are owned by the Greybeards, meaning they are free to choose from after "The Jorn of Jurgen Windcaller" is completed.

compatibility:

High Hrothgar Kitchen adds a loading door to High Hrothgar, so may conflict with other mods that alter the same interior unit. However, please see the map image for the exact location. If no changes are made to that exact location, they will most likely work together

Oldrim version here: High Hrothgar Kitchen

Inspired by mods such as Kursan's Mages Kitchen and High Hrothgar Shelter, this mod adds an extra room connecting the High Hrothgar monastery to a small natural cave under the mountainside. This is the Greybeards' kitchen, where they store their food supplies and cook their meals. A spring at the back of the cave serves as a water source.

For users of survival/needs mods, the kitchen space provides a basic area where the Dragonborn and a follower can eat, sleep, fill waterskins, and bathe. There are also two non-respawning chests for safe storage, although all other containers respawn. A cooking spit and the bread oven from Hearthfires are included, but no other crafting stations. The kitchen is meant to fit in with the rest of High Hrothgar rather than serving as a player home. I made it for my own use because I'd started building permanent campsites in a corner of the monastery, and I wanted a less obtrusive way to serve the same few functions.

The door is to the right of the main hall, not far from the dining area. Items inside are owned by the Greybeards, which means that they are free to take after "The Horn of Jurgen Windcaller" is complete.

Compatibility:

High Hrothgar Kitchen adds a load door to High Hrothgar, and may therefore conflict with other mods that change the same interior cell. See the map image for the exact location, however. If there are no changes to that exact spot, they will very likely work together.

Install & use Install: follow the bundled instructions

  1. Unzip the archive from playbuff and read the bundled readme / instructions first.
  2. There is no universal mod manager for this game: some mods replace game files directly, some go into a game-specific Mods folder, and some need a game-specific community loader or tool first — follow the bundled readme.
  3. Place the files exactly as the readme says; mods with listed dependencies need those installed too.
  4. Launch the game to confirm it loaded; some games require enabling mods in settings or an in-game mod menu.

Install locations vary a lot between games and mods — the bundled readme is the most reliable guide.
