Skin animal textures from Skyrim Hunting while using the Hunterborn skinning system
MOD is meaningless! I recommend using HUNTERBORN MCM MENU INSTEAD
Here are two script files you can use to override Hunterborn (/skyrimspecialedition/mods/10353) while using Hunterborn's skinning system. If using both mods, make sure Hunting is disabled in the Skyrim skin system.
Please note that these are just two pex files that I compiled from source files provided by the author of the mod above.
All credit and honor for these files should go to B1gBadDaddy and unuroboros, who respectively made and implemented this compatibility in the first place. I tried sending a message to the author of Hunterborn but something got stuck and it told me I couldn't do it. I hope he doesn't consider this theft or anything, that's not my intention just to give modders a bad chance (and don't get me wrong, I consider myself one too, I manage to do anything with scripts, CK is a wonder) to have a chance to get the most out of these mods using their capabilities.
Sorry if I accidentally butchered the English language in the text above. Not a native speaker…
Install & use Install: follow the bundled instructions
- Unzip the archive from playbuff and read the bundled readme / instructions first.
- There is no universal mod manager for this game: some mods replace game files directly, some go into a game-specific Mods folder, and some need a game-specific community loader or tool first — follow the bundled readme.
- Place the files exactly as the readme says; mods with listed dependencies need those installed too.
- Launch the game to confirm it loaded; some games require enabling mods in settings or an in-game mod menu.
Install locations vary a lot between games and mods — the bundled readme is the most reliable guide.
