Make kiriavark the Harborside-Solitude Bridge Home available for purchase.

-=Requires Harborside-Solitude Bridge Home v1.1 by kiriavark =-

I made this patch for the beautiful Harborside Houses mod, for people like me who like to use their hard-earned Septims to buy real estate.

describe:

This mod makes the Harborside family purchasable by locking the door and giving the key to Sayma and Bob in Solitude. The key's price is set at 6000 gold, but varies depending on your speech skills (since keys are sold as miscellaneous), and if you don't have a Speechcraft the price can be over 18000 gold. I have set this housing based on the scenic location and the fact that it is in Solitude, which seems to have expensive housing, but please let me know if you should adjust it.

I've also locked the front window of the house to the second floor because it's so easy to open and jump through. However, I leave the second floor windows unlocked so crafty types can sneak in (perhaps using a mod like Sneak Tools). A note was also added to Harborside's front door stating that the home was for sale and that Sayma was processing its purchase. I considered giving the key to Victtoria Vici in the Eastern Empire, but in my testing she didn't always...

compatibility:

The original mod may have the same conflict. May also conflict with any mod that edits the Sayma npc (ID: 0001329A).

Install:

This is a replacement esp, so just overwrite kvHarborside.esp with my version. Also install the Scripts folder that contains DarkFox script files. Place them in the Data folder or use the mod manager like you would any other mod.

integral:

Thanks to kiriavark for the beautiful Harborside House mod.

This mod uses the PM_Script_BuyKey script from DarkFox127's Project Modularity resources. Want to make your favorite house model available for purchase? Follow his guide here! :

-= Requires Harborside - Solitude Bridge Home v1.1 by kiriavark =-

I made this patch for the beautiful Harborside house mod, for those like myself who prefer to use their hard-earned Septims to purchase their real estate.

Description:

This mod makes the Harborside home purchasable, by locking the door and giving the key to Sayma at Bits and Bobs in Solitude.  The price of the key is set at 6000 gold, but varies depending on your speech skills (due to the fact that the key is sold as a misc item) and can be over 18000 gold if you have no Speechcraft.  I've set it to that based on the scenic location and the fact that it's in Solitude, which seems to have expensive housing, but let me know if you think it's should be adjusted.

I've locked the front window of the house on the first floor as well because it was easy to open it and jump through.  I've left the windows on the second floor unlocked, however, so that crafty types can sneak in (maybe using a mod like Sneak Tools).  There is also a note added to the front door of Harborside, stating that the home is for sale and that Sayma is handling it's purchase.  I considered giving the key to Victtoria Vici at East Empire, but in my testing she wasn't...always there.

Compatibility:

Same conflicts that the original mod may have had.  May also conflict with any mod that edits the Sayma npc (ID: 0001329A).

Installation:

This is a replacer esp, so just overwrite the kvHarborside.esp with my version.  Also install the Scripts folder which include DarkFox's script files.  Drop them in your Data folder or use your mod manager, just like any other mod.

Install & use Install: follow the bundled instructions

  1. Unzip the archive from playbuff and read the bundled readme / instructions first.
  2. There is no universal mod manager for this game: some mods replace game files directly, some go into a game-specific Mods folder, and some need a game-specific community loader or tool first — follow the bundled readme.
  3. Place the files exactly as the readme says; mods with listed dependencies need those installed too.
  4. Launch the game to confirm it loaded; some games require enabling mods in settings or an in-game mod menu.

Install locations vary a lot between games and mods — the bundled readme is the most reliable guide.
