Hamvir port of the ghost follower Jokerine from Oldrim to SSE. Added Hamvir, the ghost follower of Hamvir's Rest
From the original Skyrim to Shanghai's Ghostly Follower Hamwell Port. All credits go to Jokerine for original design and implementation. Many thanks for allowing open permission to port the mod to SSE. The original mod can be found here:

Both .esp have been saved in the Creation Kit in Form 44 and have been processed through the latest version of SSE NifOptimizer for compatibility with Skyrim SE. Yes, I know there are a lot of other minion models out there, but not a lot of "ghost" minions and Jokerine had a really good idea by adding warrior ghosts named after dungeons. Jokerine mentioned that she wasn't sure if Hamvir could be equipped with Armor, but I gave him a cloak from Winter's Coming and he put it on right away. Putting him in other armor shouldn't be a problem. He is considered an independent follower, marked as a necessity.
Related information:
I included 2 .esp in this port:
Ghost Follower.esp The OP version is the Over-Powered version where Hamvir will not take any damage as he is marked "Is Ghost" in the Creation Kit.
The Ghost Follower.esp non-OP version is the same as the other .esp, but I unchecked the "Is Ghost" box in the Creation Kit so that he can take damage like any other follower, but will still only take half damage, as Jokerine is described below as one of his abilities but is still marked as necessary.
Make sure to install only one .esp!
important! ! Please read the following compatibility notes for Follower mods!! This section will be updated based on player feedback.
Role playing suggestions:
Since Hamvir is a ghost, it should be considered that he would be good for a mage or necromancer type who specializes in that kind of magic school. Anyway, there are also cool Ghost followers. I leave it up to the players to decide.
Here's Jokerine's description from the original Skyrim page:

This mod was a request from "Translucent" fans on the forum. You'll find this good man at Hamvir's Rest, which is a tomb
Between Whiterun and Morthal.
He comes with a Drainblood Battleaxe and Bow, which I think fits his two-handed warrior theme and skills, and has several ghostly perks, including Light Foot so he doesn't trigger pressure plates, silence, sullen movement and a ghost-only skill that makes him only take half damage from any attack. So is he
necessary. I haven't checked to see what it would look like if you gave him armor, but I think it should be fine. Please tell me how it goes!
His original voice type didn't allow him to be a follower, so I had to change it. He sounds like a normal person now, which I think makes him more alive. (HEH GET IT?)
To install, place the files in the "SteamSteamAppsCommonSkyrimSpecialEditionData" folder. Then tick the checkbox next to .esp to activate the mod via your preferred launcher.

compatibility:
Amazing minion tweaks SE: Yes. I installed this in my game and it works fine, all Tweak options show up.
Immersive Amazing Follower Tweaks SE: Should. I don't use it, so other players will have to confirm this. Hamvir is standalone, so it should work fine.

Install & use Install: follow the bundled instructions
- Unzip the archive from playbuff and read the bundled readme / instructions first.
- There is no universal mod manager for this game: some mods replace game files directly, some go into a game-specific Mods folder, and some need a game-specific community loader or tool first — follow the bundled readme.
- Place the files exactly as the readme says; mods with listed dependencies need those installed too.
- Launch the game to confirm it loaded; some games require enabling mods in settings or an in-game mod menu.
Install locations vary a lot between games and mods — the bundled readme is the most reliable guide.
