Halla Redux

An ESPLite replacement for Elianora's rustic gamer's home outside of Whiteian, including some minor fixes and tweaks.

Elianora's Halla has always been one of my favorite home mods. But, as beautiful as it is, it has some issues that I'd like to address.

The purpose of this mod is simple. I cleaned up Halla using xEdit, fixed a bug in the plugin, and adjusted other things like spelling and compatibility.

compatibility

This replacer has the same conflicts as the original mod. Future versions of the Provincial Express Service will not conflict with Halla, so it is best to use Arthmoor's version. If you want to install a compatibility patch between the two I made, I will host it on . Send me a PM about this.

I also made a fix to the enchantment table when using Ruins Clutter Improvement. If you want to use the mod, you should check out mnikjom's fix here.

I'm not aware of any more mods that can edit the same location, but if you find other conflicts please let me know and I'll fix it.

Install

To use this replacer, you must first install Halla SE found here. Per Elianora's license, this mod does not contain any assets. Then download this mod and overwrite her .esp with my .esp.

If you don't install Halla first, the installation may be tedious and your game may crash near Honningbrew Meadery, so follow the instructions.

If you are already using Halla in your current playback, install this replacement on your new save location. If you are using the mod on your current save, converting the mod to ESPLite may break a lot of things, so be careful.

Loading order doesn't matter, but if you're in doubt, always lower it.

You may also have issues installing if your Mod Manager does not support ESL. I highly recommend MO2, although Vortex is probably not bad.

Uninstall

I don't recommend uninstalling from your save at any time. If you modify it in this way, you do so at your own risk. I can only provide limited support. If it's a mod you're removing, check out Fallrim Tools Clean Save. It's not guaranteed to prevent crashes or other problems, but it can help you.

Known issues

Due to a game bug, any custom mods that override the newly added units (Halla and Cellar) will cause issues. Fortunately, I don't know of any mods that do this.

The loft area is small and not screened so followers don't follow you up the stairs. This is an issue with the original mod, though I'll see if it can be fixed.

The grass has also been lightly mowed. I'm using a cathedral landscape, and while the content in it isn't important, you can see the clipping in some of these screenshots. I'm new to creating landscaping from kits, so if anyone wants to make a patch, please let me know and I can post it here or link to your page.

future plans

Currently, there are no plans to backport to Oldrim as I don't use it. If you want to backport it yourself, please go ahead, as long as you give Elianora credit for the permission.
