HaafingarExpand
Have you ever thought how the Norsemen managed to build so many without a single quarry? Are you wondering how trade can continue without trade jobs? Have you ever wondered why there are so many roads to nowhere? Have you ever wondered how Skyrim's population lives on a dozen farms?
This mod aims to address these issues related to the Haafingar cargo bay, attempting to provide an immersive "economy" that will give the cargo bay some production capabilities and at least partially outline the potential sustainable production of the Haafingar cargo bay. Also, it makes the cargo bay look more desolate and deserted, making it feasible to explore even with Frostbite and other survival modes.
Currently contains:
hoggar quarry
Main source of stone for cargo hold structural maintenance, and supplier of all major buildings in Solitude. The relatively small scale and average quality of quarrying operations means that the local product is only chopped into fine stone at its destination. Stone was exported to Solitude via large wagons and returned with food, supplies and payments.
Pine Frost Safari Lodge
The lodge was originally built as a refuge for weary travelers on the treacherous northern roads, but as the number of travelers dwindled, the owners turned to hunting because the nearby sheltered valleys teemed with wildlife and provided a steady supply of meat and furs. Some games are then dealt with in the hotel itself, while most are sold in Solitude.
north coast trading post
Skyrim has to offer the first and last respite to those traveling in solitude, whether by land or sea, from high rock formations to the trading post on the edge of the northern highway, which has its own port, Trade Comapny, and a tavern. With limited trade actually remaining on the Nortcoast, the settlement also relied on fishing and livestock to survive. The distance from Solitude also means that the settlement has relatively large autonomy from the capital, which is why many smugglers choose Northoast as a place to resupply and sell their goods, as opposed to Solitude itself.
kedada farm
A small farm not far from Dragon Bridge, isolated from the world around it, it is a testament to the good old days before World War II. Most of the farm's produce is consumed by its owners, with the remainder sold in Longqiao and occasionally at the market.
Ignar and Nat's Camp
Haafingar's lush pine forest is second only to Falkreath. Carpentry is perhaps the largest source of income in this rural area. Ignar and his people currently live in the valleys around Clearpine Pond, transporting cut timber via wheelbarrows to Solitude and its sawmill, while Zhalti, camped on the dangerous border with the Reach, uses the Karth River to transport cut pine trees to Solitude's sawmill. This wood is primarily used locally in Solitude, but can also be transported by sea to barren areas on the frozen north coast, such as Dawnstar and Winterhold.
compatibility:
Currently, I'm aware of conflicts with anything that modifies the content of the areas used by this mod:
- Haafstad and High Rock borders - there is a patch under optional files
-RS kids-there are a few kids in blackface-here’s a patch.
Require:
-USSEP
Install:
Use NMM or extract the contents of the .rar into the SSE/data directory.
Notice:
In the long term, I plan to connect this mod with my other mod, Solitude Expansion, creating joint missions to add content to this distant and forgotten repository. I also plan to make similar modifications in other games, focusing on the most effective products in the field.

Install & use Install: follow the bundled instructions
- Unzip the archive from playbuff and read the bundled readme / instructions first.
- There is no universal mod manager for this game: some mods replace game files directly, some go into a game-specific Mods folder, and some need a game-specific community loader or tool first — follow the bundled readme.
- Place the files exactly as the readme says; mods with listed dependencies need those installed too.
- Launch the game to confirm it loaded; some games require enabling mods in settings or an in-game mod menu.
Install locations vary a lot between games and mods — the bundled readme is the most reliable guide.
