Requiem - Guard Armor Replacement Patch
brief overview
This mod patches the armor of NordwarUA and DanielUA's excellent Guards Armor Replacer SSE, making it compatible with Requiem v 3.3.0.
describe
This mod patches the armor of NordwarUA and DanielUA's excellent Guards Armor Replacer SSE, making it compatible with Requiem v 3.3.0. Every piece of equipment, armor and weapon added by this mod has been carefully compared to the corresponding Requiem and adjusted accordingly. Keywords and tweaked recipes undergo the same careful comparison.
Before I go into details, I just want to say that these armors are absolutely beautiful in the game. I took some screenshots to show the various reservations, but none of them really do these armors justice.
Substitute
The default Requiem equipment (REQ_Outfit_GuardXX_XX and REQ_Outfit_GuardXX_XX_Officer) have been replaced by their respective Hold armors. Melee equipment was replaced by heavily armored equipment, and ranged equipment was replaced by lightly armored equipment.
The default Stormcloak armor has all been replaced with a variety of Rebel armor.
Other clothing
Faleen's Outfit - Updated to Markarth's Heavy Armor, Gauntlets and Boots
Gorm's Outfit - Updated to Heavy Hayamach Guard Armor, Mail Boots and Bracers
Helvard's Outfit - Updated to Heavy Falkreath Guard's Armor, Mail Boots and Bracers
Hrongar's Outfit - Updated to Heavy Whiterun's Defender Armor, Gauntlets and Boots
Jarl Balgruff's Sword - Replaced his steel sword with the "Balgruff's Sword" from the mod, equivalent to the ebony sword
Ralof's Outfit - Updated to "Rebel Armor" and "Iron Boots"
Unmid's Equipment - Updated to Heavy Rift Armor, Iron Boots and Rift Gauntlets
Ulfric's Gear - Added the ebony equivalent of "Ulfric's Helm". Added "Ulfric's Waraxe" which is equivalent to MQUlfric Ebony
Hadvar's Equipment - Updated to heavy solitary guard armor, gauntlets and boots, and the occasional solitary shield
Commander Caius' Outfit - Updated to REQ_Outfit_GuardWhiterun_Melee_Officer
Galmar Stone - Fist's Outout - Updates his weapon to the "Warlord's Axe" added by the mod. The latest version of Requiem updates Galmar's costume to a powerful Nordic suit; therefore, I think it's best to keep the version of Requiem as it's a good choice and a worthwhile reward if Galmar is defeated.
Elite Armor Set
There are two equivalents of the Ebony Elite armor set. These have been updated with their Requiem. According to the original mod, these can be used as rewards for city missions.
Weapons
All weapons added by the mod have been modified to compare with their counterparts in Requiem. They are part of the LeveledCharacter list and will appear randomly in generated Guards and Stormcloaks.
other
Fixed some minor typos in armor and weapon names.
Install
Install into the Skyrim\Data folder using your favorite Mod Manager. This patch should be installed after Requiem. I recommend the following installation steps
Step 1: Download the "Guards Armor Replacer" master file. Do not download optional files. Install this file using the Mod Manager of your choice.
Step 2: Place Guards_Armor_Replacer.esp directly above Requiem.esp in your loading order.
Step 3: Download and install this patch under Requiem.esp. It must be installed below any other Requiem patches that modify weapons, armor, etc. Taking the popular patch as an example, this patch should be installed below all patches for the mod's improved closed helmet.

Step 5: Run Reqtificator and place "Requiem for Indifferent.esp" at the end of the load o …
Install & use Install: follow the bundled instructions
- Unzip the archive from playbuff and read the bundled readme / instructions first.
- There is no universal mod manager for this game: some mods replace game files directly, some go into a game-specific Mods folder, and some need a game-specific community loader or tool first — follow the bundled readme.
- Place the files exactly as the readme says; mods with listed dependencies need those installed too.
- Launch the game to confirm it loaded; some games require enabling mods in settings or an in-game mod menu.
Install locations vary a lot between games and mods — the bundled readme is the most reliable guide.
