If you're like me and have been disappointed with vanilla goat, then this mod is for you. Skyrim's goats only have the most wild or domesticated proportions of woolly goats. This mod replaces the vanilla goat skeleton with a new custom skeleton designed to make Skyrim's goats more realistic, immersive and closer to real long-haired goats. Working within the confines of the vanilla mesh, I adjusted the Skyrim Goat's head, neck and tail to make them stiffer! These new subtle changes to Skyrim goats make them more like the typical long-haired goat breeds from Eastern Europe and other parts of the world (there are too many to mention here). Now you can enjoy encounters with realistic and hardy goats in the Skyrim Mountains. Each encounter immerses you deeper into Skyrim's words! ! ! ! seeing is believing! ! !

The animations and combat are still perfect! ! ! ! The tenacious goat! ! !

[[[MOD COMPATIBILITY]]]

Gritty Goats uses the vanilla goat's custom skeleton and will override any mods that change the vanilla goat's skeleton. Mods that make radical changes to Vanilla Skull (such as "Realistic Ragdoll and Force") should be compatible as long as "Gritty Goats" is installed after these mods and its files are allowed to be overwritten.

Should be fully compatible with any texture mod, as this mod does not contain its own skeleton-only textures. This also makes it compatible with most other creature models that don't edit vanilla skeletons.

[[[INSTALLATION]]]

It is recommended to use Mod Manager or your favorite mod manager.

Install "Gritty Goats" after any mod that changes vanilla goats, and click "Yes to all" when prompted to overwrite any files.

There is no ".esp plugin" for this mod.
