Great City SSE Edition - No Snow Under Rooftop SE
describe
This is a collection (or better say it will grow) of compatible patches for the "Great Cities - Small Cities and Towns SSE Edition" v2.01 mod series by Soldier Wars and "No Snow Under the Roof" v3.2 by Prometheus.
I plan to release a compatible patch for each of the three cities of Winterhold, Dawnstar and Morthal, addressed by the "Big City" series, which work well with NSTUR (at least I hope I can pull it off).
As of "Winterhold SSE Edition Great Cities" v3.02 - NSUTR patch.
I hope to follow up on the "Dawnstar SSE version of Cities" v2.11 and "Morthal SSE version of Cities" v1.1 compatibility patches in time, but it will take some time. I can't say a release date yet, so they will be finalized as they are completed.
Regarding the "Winterhold SSE - Great Cities of NSUTR" patch:
It took me a while to pull it off because it wasn't a simple compatibility patch since "soldierofwar" changed a lot of Winterhold City's vanilla layout. I had to adjust the resources of NSUTR itself to make it work properly. Since this is my personal opinion, I guess the results won't be to everyone's taste.
How to use/install:
The loose version is divided into three parts (miscellaneous files):
Core patch where only collision objects from NSTUR are removed for city layout
Standard accessories for pillars, arches and statues
Experimental snowdrifts on some walls
To see the difference, just load one or not the additional plugin.
Use this version for testing purposes only.
I placed the NSTUR assets on a new layout of three cities that I saw fit.
But if you have any suggestions, please write your thoughts in the comment section, thank you.
This is still a work in progress until all three cities are covered.
All-in-one version (main file):
It contains records for all three loose .esp's in one plugin.
If you just want to play games, you should use this Vision.
All .ESPs are ESLifed, so they don't count towards the vanilla 255 plugin limit.
Only use one version of this at a time, don't mix them!
Other requirements:
All of my NSUTR compatibility patches are designed to work out of the box using my NSUTR Bugfix mod.
All my mods should be compatible with USSEP.
I highly recommend using both mods for the best gaming experience.
compatible:
Currently, The Great Cities EPS(s) themselves (AiO or Single Vision) are not listed as required masters in the compatibility patch itself, but are obviously required to work properly. These guarantee (at least in theory) that the NSUTR patch will (for now) be released on all versions of the Warrior "Great Cities" mod series on the "City of Cities" single version as well as the "Small Cities and Towns SSE Edition".
This compatible patch is not compatible with Vanilla games or any other mod next to "The Great"
"A city that changes the layout of Winterhold City (and Dwanstar and Morthal in future updates).
uninstall:
You can uninstall any version at any time as it only removes and adds static objects.
But I recommend against it because it is never a good idea to remove addons from the active mod list in a game!
Therefore, if you are uninstalling this patch, make sure you always back up your save games when the addon is not active.
mistake:
There are a lot of small inconsistencies (use of statics, textures, snow mats, shaders) as well as small gaps and visibility issues in "The Great City of Winterhold SSE Edition v3.02" in "Soldier Wars" itself. This patch will not resolve any of these issues as that is not the purpose of this NSUTR compatibility patch. Please send them directly to the creator (soldierofwar)'s individual city mod pages, thank you.
If soldierofwar should fix these issues by updating his mod, my compatibility patches and/or add-ons may have to be updated to work properly again. Since I don't actively …
Install & use Install: follow the bundled instructions
- Unzip the archive from playbuff and read the bundled readme / instructions first.
- There is no universal mod manager for this game: some mods replace game files directly, some go into a game-specific Mods folder, and some need a game-specific community loader or tool first — follow the bundled readme.
- Place the files exactly as the readme says; mods with listed dependencies need those installed too.
- Launch the game to confirm it loaded; some games require enabling mods in settings or an in-game mod menu.
Install locations vary a lot between games and mods — the bundled readme is the most reliable guide.
