background:
I started researching this a month ago because I always felt there should be something at this crossroads. I originally planned to build an inn. When I load the Creation Kit, I see that the cells are named Granite Mountain. I dug deeper and saw that this town would be in Skyrim, but Bethesda didn't make it. Even Falkreath's Jarl mentions it!
The town even has its own legend, considering it's been around since Elder Scrolls Arena. So I feel like it's my responsibility. Think of this vanilla town. Feel free to make mods for it.
Install:
Install or install other mods first and move to your town section.
compatibility:
Compatible with everything as long as there are no towns or settlements here.
I won't be adjusting towns to work with other mods.
Consider this a vanilla village as it should be in the game.
Known issues:
Giants cannot walk under bridges.
If you install this mod into your current game, you may have some issues with dead animals in town.
You may have navmesh issues (aka navmeshues). If so, please follow the author's note below.

Author's note
- If you encounter any issues like navmesh, gray faces, dirty editing, etc. please post a bug report.
•If you have grayface issues and use MO, please install the mesh/texture folder manually.
- If you are still experiencing navigation mesh issues, please follow the steps below after updating to the latest iteration of Granite Hill
- Press the ~ key (the button to the left of the 1 key)
- Type setgs iHoursToRespawnCell 1 and press Enter
- setgs iHoursToRespawnCellCleared 1
- setgs iHoursToRespawnCell 240
- setgs iHoursToRespawnCellCleared 720
- If you see dirty edits, please post them in a bug report. This is my first real mod and since I'm new to this, as much detail as possible helps to solve the problem quickly.
•If this is a design criticism, I appreciate you, but to be honest, most likely wouldn't change what I do because I've already done it for this reason.
•I do not accept requests
•This mod only requires Skyrim SE. Please read the description for more information.
•I tried to make the town as vanilla-like as possible. I want it to integrate seamlessly with the game and feel like it's always there, so other mods like Skyrim Banner and the JK series (among others) can build on top of it. This does not mean that this mod can be released under another name or bundled with another mod.

Install & use Install: follow the bundled instructions
- Unzip the archive from playbuff and read the bundled readme / instructions first.
- There is no universal mod manager for this game: some mods replace game files directly, some go into a game-specific Mods folder, and some need a game-specific community loader or tool first — follow the bundled readme.
- Place the files exactly as the readme says; mods with listed dependencies need those installed too.
- Launch the game to confirm it loaded; some games require enabling mods in settings or an in-game mod menu.
Install locations vary a lot between games and mods — the bundled readme is the most reliable guide.
